Torin Big Red Hydraulic Shop Press with Gauge Dial - 10-Ton, Model# T51003

After approximately three months,I finally got the remainder of the parts which were lost in the initial shipment. After assembling the press I found some shortcomings. The bleed valve knob was broken in shipment and I now must use a wrench to operate it. The plates upon which the parts to be pressed rest tend to drift side-to-side so I had a local machine shop make a plate with a center hole suited to my purposes which now straddles the adjustable part of the frame. I have since found that the bleed valve does not allow the ram to return to its rest position without the valve being completely removed from the pump. The oil then drains into a pail rather than back into the reservoir as it should. This process is tedious and labor intensive because the oil in the pail must now be poured into the top of the reservoir after removing the dipstick screw. I am not at all pleased with the overall performance of this press and would not recommend it to anyone. I hope this sentiment finds its way back to Torin and that they do something to remedy the flaws in this product.
