Bag is much better storage.
This is the second brand I've used for cheese popcorn, it is just as good as the other at about the same price. The biggest difference though is the packaging. I bought the other brand because it came in a screw top container but this is not necessarily the best storage option. I found that out when we had the cheese for a few months used sparingly, I tried to use it one day when my son wanted cheese popcorn and discovered a hard cheese rock. He was super disappointed, so I went back to Amazon and found this one. This storage is much better because every time I close it, I squeeze out all the air. If I don't think I'll be using it for a longer period of time, then I'll use my vacuum sealer. It comes in a resealable bag, so make sure you squeeze out all the air when you're done. This cheese is the best for cheesy popcorn which my son, husband and myself love. I have a popcorn machine and use Amish brand coconut oil and kernels. I also have some movie butter popcorn oil which I put into a oil sprayer. It makes it easy to spray a little bit (to help the cheese coat the popcorn better) then add about a teaspoon of ground mustard, lots of shaking, then lastly add as much powdered cheese as your heart desires. I use the big 2 gallon zip lock bags to shake it all up, makes it much easier and even my 9 yo son will ask if he can do it which of course I say "Sure!" while I sit back and relax...Admittedly, my popcorn is full of calories and "bad stuff" but it is oh so delicious and ok if you don't indulge everyday. I just can't bring myself to use the air popper unless I have a really good quality popcorn. I may try it with the Amish brand kernels if my doctor scolds me at my next appointment. In the meantime I will enjoy MY popcorn before it gets taken away from me. :-)And of course, both of my boys love macaroni and cheese. I don't think the cheese packet included in Kraft boxes is enough, so I either add this cheese to the mix or replace it all together. Just use the same ingredients as listed on the box then use this cheese with or in place of the packet. Makes a HUGE difference if you're into cheese. My great-nephew had tried some and couldn't stop shoveling it into his mouth. He said it was the "Best Mac n Cheese ever!". lol And by the way, don't EVER try using the cheese packet included in the Kraft mac n cheese box to use for cheese popcorn. I tried that when I discovered the "cheese rock" and it was terrible. It would not coat whatsoever and all the cheese was mostly at the bottom of the bag. When you use this gourmet cheese powder, there is very little found at the bottom, it pretty much stays coated on the popcorn. Hope you enjoy as much as we do!

Cheese popcorn cumpulsion
I have been trying with little success for years to find the perfect combination for cheese popcorn. I have experimented way too much and have spent way too much money on failure after failure. When I saw this cheese powder on Amazon my first thought was, "It says gourmet. Big whoopin deal." I have tried and been fooled too many times. However, in my never ending search for the ultimate cheese popcorn I figured that I couldn't pass up on trying another product.I tried it.Wow! I have finally found the absolute hands-down perfect combination. This cheese powder is incredible. Let me share the perfect combination so others can have this experience:First and foremost, no oils for popping. I have purchased an Orville Redenbacher fountain air popper. (Presto 05314 Orville Redenbacher's Fountain Theater Hot Air Popcorn Popper, Red on Amazon) While it is a tiny bit hard to clean, I still love it. I have found a good brush to fit in all of the nooks and crannies and clean it quickly after each use.Second, and this may be hard for many to accept, I spent too much money on a popcorn tumbler. (Gold Medal 2705 Mini Cheese Corn Tumbler on Amazon) Several people have rated it low because it does not tumble the popcorn well and I cannot argue with that. It is true. However, it is way better than the large grocery bag shaking that I was doing and I found that, with a little practice, a large kitchen spoon stirring the popcorn a few times while tumbling works great.Third, popping with air and no oils gives a better tasting and more healthful popcorn but the oils helped any flavorings to stick. Not so with air. Spray coconut oil solved this problem and it also produces a rather tasty popcorn with no other flavorings. (think healthy) I dump the popcorn in the tumbler, turn it on, and while it is tumbling I use one hand for the spray and one hand for the spoon. Works great.Fourth, the most important part of the process. I add four heaping tablespoons of cheese powder (while tumbling) give it a few stirs with the spoon and voila have the perfect cheese popcorn.Yes, I realize that this may be a bit much for most people but a cheap air popper, a large grocery bag for shaking, a can of spray coconut oil from the grocery store (I use the store brand), some good quality popcorn (I use Orville Redenbacher), and this powder you can find yourself in cheese popcorn heaven. As my son says, “This is the bomb!” Try it. You will thank me.Now, for that macaroni and cheese...

Not as flavorful as some, but good
After trying a competitors product, I decided to try this brand as it was significantly cheaper and shipped in a bag instead of a plastic bottle. The flavor is good, but not as robust as the more expensive brand. It works great with noodles or as a topping with oyster crackers. I also mix in with scrambled eggs. I find the resealable bag easier to store than the plastic bottle.

No flavor, waste of money!
After reading reviews, I was so excited to get this "gourmet cheddar cheese powder" made by Medley Hills Farms. The first recipe I made was Mac and cheese, I cannot tell you how disappointed I am with this cheese powder! There is absolutely no flavor in it at all, I even added extra and it only changed the texture. So instead of throwing the fluorescent orange noodles away, I ended up using Velveeta cheese in it and the only flavor was the Velveeta. I don't know if they have made changes to the ingredients or not since this was my first purchase, but it is my last purchase of this brand also.

Takes twice as much
This cheese powder is okay but not very strong tasting. You pretty much have to use twice as much to get any kind of flavor that you would like. The flavor is not bad it just uses a lot more than I anticipated
