Ever Ready First Aid 143200 Dual Head Stethoscope, Black

At this low price I was very skeptical but decided to try them anyhow. I was not disappointed. I just wanted something for my first aid kit because we live out in the boonies and I wanted to add this to my assessment kit, to help decide when it is time to make the long trek to a medical facility. I don’t think you are going to find a medical professional using these in most circumstances, but for the layperson who doesn’t want to spend a lot of money they will probably suit your needs. Mine came in a box, packaged in zip bags and needed assembly. It is pretty intuitive, but there were no instructions so if there were any little tricks to be missed, I probably missed them. Also, the description says there are extra ear pieces so you can choose the ones that best fit your ear canal but mine had none of these and I would not describe them as comfortable because the plastic is rather hard. I messed with them a bit, pulling the plastic closer to the end of the tubes and that helped a bit. Also, the metal part comes flat and you need to know that you should twist them into the V-shape so they go into the ear canal properly. They must be adjusted properly for comfort and effectiveness. Also, as mentioned in other reviews, the diaphragm is the type that twists, so if you can’t hear anything flip it around until it clicks; one direction gives good sound and the other doesn’t. It flips so you can using either the small side or the large one but must be in the correct position for the one you are using for good results. Quick tip: If you’ve never used a stethoscope before, do yourself a favor and check out some you tube vids. There are some good ones that will tell you how to adjust it for your use and go over the basics of placement points and how the “patient” should breath, etc. There are a few basics you can learn in around 10 minutes that will greatly improve your experience with this tool. So, at this price it is a great value, cheap enough to give kids a real working tool for their first doctor kit, and I think most people who want this kind of extra for their home medical kit would find it satisfactory as well. And I’m guessing the people who say it doesn’t work are people who don’t know how to properly adjust and use the tool.

Important: I got this as a costume prop for acting! I needed a prop for a role that looked authentic. This one cost far less than any others I found. It feels in the smaller size but worked okay for me. Lightweight. Very little ability to hear any sounds once setup. I cannot speak to how it works for actual first aid use. I would imagine that one would want something with the best sound quality and durability clarity etc. for that purpose.

It looks like a stethoscope but it doesn’t actually work. I tried to return it but it is a “no refundable item”. It doesn’t cost much but it’s expensive for useless trash.

I would have given a 5 star if the ear plugs were more comfortable, but if you're not a practitioner this is excellent for just 7$

I purchased it for a craft - can't speak to how well it works as I didn't attempt to listen to anyone - but it served it's purpose for what I needed it for.

We used this stethoscope as part of my son’s first birthday doljabi tradition. It was exactly what we needed, and my son picked it! (Implying I have a future doctor!) I have only given it 3 stars however, as we tested the product and had a hard time using it- it was very hard to hear anything and felt like it lacked in quality. But if you are looking for just a play toy, this was worth it for the price.

For the price, this is perfect for nursing students learning, curious children, and manual at home blood pressures. As an ICU RN, I wouldn't want this for work, but if I forget my own, would still use this for stable patients. Of course, if I had a crashing patient I would want a better one that blocked out outside noise; really the only difference, besides the drum. I use this to teach my daughter about heart, lungs, and gastric sounds. Not a bad one to have and does the job 😉

Just bought it for fun! It does works. My next door neighbor and i share the same bedroom wall,and i was told that she had a leakage in between the walls. And to be on the safe side i just got myself one of these. And so it happened! I too have a leakage. Didn’t even noticed the drops dripping. And no water mark stain appeared at all. Technically! It was a recipe for disaster waiting to happen. And my curiosity helped the fact. But! Maybe because i have a dinosaur head,the ear bud part felt really uncomfortable though. But i do have a dinosaur head!

Perfect replacement for my lost stethoscope. Glad I found it on Amazon. Now I can use my own instead of having to borrow one when in the hospital.

Absolute garbage, completely unusable as it is so cheap, you can't hear anything through it.

A really good Stethoscope for this price. works quite well. I bought it for my daughter to play doctors and she is still having lots of fun with it
