Great Book and Great Recording
This is one of the best written books that I have read in a long time. It is funny, ironic, and very serious -- all at the same time. It is beautifully read by M. Pignon, and I greatly enjoyed listening to it while driving.

Laughs and serious matters, too.
Very funny and very sad at once, a picaresque novella with some serious things to say about cruelty, humanity, and love. The plot grows thin as the story goes on, but the reader has come to care about the Jackson Five, Sophie Morceau, and of course Achat-des-chattes enough that there is never a temptation to put it down.

Fun read
This was an easy read and full of fun while at the same time presenting some serious comments on immigration among other things.

Whimsical and very creative
Bought the book for my wife for her French Class. These are her ratings to the letter.
