Solera Black Slide Topper Awning - 13' (12'7" Fabric)

This is exactly the topper I needed for my trailer. RV and Auto Parts shipped it fast. No complaints with them or Amazon. After watching several YouTube videos and reading the directions, hanging it was straight forward. Use two people and just follow the directions. Looks great and will definitely do the job!This brings us to Lippert, i.e., LCI1.com, Customer Service or the lack thereof!!!Part "O" 768004 (Access Plate) screws to the side of the slide out with 5 FLAT HEAD #10 -16 x 1-1/4" self drilling screws (Part number "D" 793616). Since you have 2 Access Plates, you need 10 Flat Head screws. My parts kit came with ZERO Flat Head screws but it did contain 10 extra PAN HEAD screws (Part Number "M", 37420, #8 -18 x 1" Square Pan Head, Self Drilling) so I figured they must have changed their plan. Unfortunately, if you use pan head screws to attach the ACCESS PLATES, you cannot slide the ACCESS BRACKET(s) in place because the pan heads stick up too high. Here comes the fun part!I called Lippert Tech Support and got 'Nathan'. I asked for 10 Flat Head Screws, Part number 793616, to be sent to me overnight so I could finish my install. First, he apparently didn't know the difference between a flat head screw and a pan head screw. His solution was to tell me to go to my retailer as they were not responsible for their product after it leaves their warehouse! Oh, really? When I asked ‘Who warranties the awning? Lippert or the retailer?’ he couldn’t answer the question. Then I said "What you are telling me is you wholesaled this awning to RV and Auto Parts who unpacked it, took the flat head screws out of the parts package, substituted pan head screws (painted exactly like the other 26 pan head screws that were in the parts pack) just to frustrate the customer when they tried to install the awning.' That doesn't pass the giggle test!! After arguing for 20 minutes, he said he would have to check with a supervisor and see what they could do. An hour later, he called back to say they would mail me the screws, but it would take 7 to 10 days before they could ship. This is what I call ZERO STAR Customer Service. It is unfortunate for many that many of the items on my new Grand Design travel trailer were furnished by Lippert. Let’s hope nothing breaks because it sounds like they will surely deny responsibility.

ordered slide topper with some worries about shipping.Alot of reviews talk about shipping damage. ordered it on a Tuesday and it was delivered on Saturday. The driver put the 16 foot long 10 inch tube in the garage for my wife. When I got home and checked it out there was no damage,opened and reremove slide topper and brackets. all were were very well packaged and protected. Had to wait a couple more days for the bule tape to come. Installed the slide topper, took about two hours total.instructions are very well written and very easy to understand. Two people are a must when sliding the topper into the track. Looks great and works even better. Very well built product. very happy with purchace of the Lippert Solera Slide Topper.

so I'm sitting in our RV less than 2 months and only 1 roadtrip after putting up this slide topper and I hear a boom crash, startled the mess out of me I thought I would be seeing broken windows and something that hit our RV but low and behold the slide topper material had seperated from the part that holds it in the channel of the RV, I did notice when I was installing it that there were some questionable parts but never thought this would be the problem we'd have and so soon! I learned that we were past the amazon return by days and just decided to reinforce the material to the rod (for lack of a better word) and close the channel up a bit tighter rather than go through all it would entail to send it back abnd maybe take on another issue, in closing if you buy or have this unit "Solera Black Slide Topper Awning - 13' (12'7" Fabric)" or I guess any slide topper, check it every time you use it because like I said we only had it for less than 2 months and only one trip!

Fit perfect, it was easy to install as a replacement. The quality could be better but for the price it is awesome.

Great quality product. Appeared to be packaged adequately for normal shipping. However, the one I received had both ends blown out of tube. Tube was bent due to forklift, which is odd due to this thing weighing less that 70 lbs. Due to the reckless shipping and handling of this on transit. Going to cost me more than 75% of cost to replace all the pieces and Amazon will only pony up 65%. Cant risk it being worse on the next one. Will be fixing and moving on. Still cheaper than having to pay tax and shipping else where.

Upon opening the shipping tube unraveling was noticed. The edge that should slide into the mounting was unstapled and separating. The seller is in the process of contacting the manufacturer and there has been no resolution as yet.

Très bonne qualité et très facile d'installation, le pourquoi 2 étoiles c'est qu'il me manque deux caps de finitions aux extrémités et j'ai installé l'auvent quand même, par la suite j'ai téléphoné Amazon.ca pour leur expliquer qu'il manquait deux caps de finitions et la seule chose que la préposée m'a donné comme choix c'est de retourner l'article ou m'a offert un crédit de $10.00. L'auvent mesure 13 pieds de long et elle arrive dans un sonotube de 6 pouces de diamètre X 13 1/2 pieds de long. Ça aurait été beaucoup plus simple de me faire parvenir les deux caps qui entre dans une boîte de 2 pouces cube. Vive la livraison

Installed on an outback ultralight RV trailer over a 13 ft slide out. Install was simple enough but required assistance. Works great but pools a little rain water so requires a ball or spacer to assist shedding. This is chronic with toppers. Check prices as they vary.

Order a 13 foot awning.but awning was 12 feet .just bearly fit my box.will order from a different place next time
