TRASH!! Please read. 20 seconds with near 0 read/write speed
I noticed while gaming that my games would occasionally lock up. I looked into my performance statistics and found out that this BRAND NEW drive was dropping below 1 MB/sec read speeds, and frequently all the way to 0. I've attached some pictures, notice that the operating system is reporting the "Average response time" of this drive as 20 SECONDS! To be clear, the response time of a hard drive should never be above ~10 milliseconds. This means that I waited 20 seconds for the hard drive to read anything. This could happen at any point, web browsing, loading files, running applications on your computer, you name it.Please, for the sake of other people shopping for hard drives, do not buy this product. I am a graduate student in computer science, and it is well known in the hardware community that some manufacturers recycle used components and resell them as new for cheap prices. Yes it's against the law. Yes they do it anyways because it's very hard to catch them. That is likely what has happened here. You might get lucky and your purchase might work, but there is a good chance you will get a piece of garbage like the drive I received. Don't let Amazom continue to recommend this product to other shoppers. It is very unlikely that an authentic hardware manufacturer would let any product out their doors without running simple verification tests. The fact that I've received such a clearly defective hard drive suggests that this manufacturer is knowingly lying to its customers.

STAY AWAY!!! Data loss, corrupted system files, buy a Samsung or actual quality SSD!
Does not work well long term at all, if you consider long term as 7 months. Data loss, corrupted files, multiple system restores, game performance loss. Total waste of money, id spend double if it meant I didn’t have to factory reset my ******* pc every month. Do not buy this ssd I’m willing to bet most of the reviews are after a week or so of having it, it is not a good product after a few months.

It is dying on me after a little over a year of medium-light use.
I bought and installed this in my desktop about 16 months ago. Recently I noticed performance started to get bad - loading times of games got too slow to play (rounds of Overwatch will begin with no character models loaded yet, and similar).I ran a benchmark and I can see that the write speeds are fine - slightly slower than my other SSD (Samsung Evo) but reasonable. The read speeds however are MUCH slower than they should be. 75-90% slower than the write speed. So something on this drive is dying on me.

heck yea, this is a must
So to me a normal person will never have a clue on the speed of name brand like samsung or cheaper model like sunbow, so I chose sunbow. I got a new laptop an acer predator. Its set up alittle goofy. It has 2 m.2 drives, and a regular ssd drive so my first upgrade is the 1 tb ssd. It works great i have no complaint. I haven't looked for a sun bow m.2, but if they do im getting one. I might go with a samgung evo for a boot. So I can clone the hard drive. Until them I'm super happy with my sunbow

Died 2 months later
After buy and installing as a part for my new custom PC it died 2 months later for no reason and hasn't worked since and all I get as an error in the Disk Management window is " A device which does not exist was specified ". Submitted a complaint to Amazon who told me to make a complaint to the manufacture/seller who never responded or anything! Nothing was done to compensate for the failure so now I live with 1.5 TB.Over a year later still have it in the PC and attempt to get it to work and still the same issue it powers up, still not acknowledged by Windows except in Disk Management but still when attempting to initialize fails with the same response.

Terrible! Get something else!
Don't let these oddly good comments convince you to purchase this.I thought there would not be much of a difference between this and my Kingston as they are both "budget" drives but wow, this loads my operating system much slower and I sometimes run into errors. Switched back to Kingston and now use this as an external drive... I regret purchasing this; I should have spent a little extra on something better. You will also regret it!

DRAM-less drive, don't waste your time.
Built a gaming computer with fast CPU, loads of RAM, killer GPU, OS on an NVME and this SSD as the data drive. Everything was great until I would try to download anything > ~2GB and this drive would bring my computer to its knees, everything would freeze, couldn't click on anything and the only option was to wait an hour for this drive to load in data 25MB every 5-10 seconds or restart my computer.I just upgraded to a Samsung 970 EVO Plus and all my problems are solved. Don't waste your time on this piece of junk.

For the love of all that is holy do not buy this product...
Worked ok a year in - but mine just completely fried out of absolutely nowhere a few days ago. Years of files and work... gone in less than a second. Hopefully didn't take my motherboard along with it. If you value your mental health and PC health do not buy this terrible product. Great for people who get off on broken computers and the accompanying stress.
