It's sturdier than it looks.

i was looking for a bracket that can swing out of the hanging locker on my ocean going sailboat. I needed something to hold wet and drying foul weather gear when needed after wet conditions, but then swing out of the way when not needed on the nicer days. This stainless steel swinging drying rack perfect for this application and has so far not shown any rust or corrosion after contact with salty wet foulies.

This stainless steel hanger (brand: Ershuweath) with a 180 degree swing arm (or rod) can be installed either indoors or outdoors. It is versatile for multiple uses, rust resistant and waterproof, accordingly. I originally thought I would install it on the side of the cabinet above the kitchen sink to hang and dry damp kitchen towels and sponges, but decided we need it more in the laundry area in the basement where we keep surplus garments. Though the swing arm is under 11", I can put at least 10 outfits on hangers there. The rated load is 30 pounds so I'll be mindful not to get carried away in overloading. The steel construction feels absolutely sturdy. As long as the hanger is properly and securely fastened to the wall, I am confident it will hold up great. Installation was very simple and easy for me since I fastened the hanger to an exposed beam. It may take much longer if it is to be installed to a drywall or concrete wall. The hanger makes It possible to add almost instantly some additional hanging place for clothing and accessories and a temporary spot for drying clothes. When not in use, the arm can be folded flat (either to the left or right) to be totally out of the way. It's space efficient, practical and very functional.

This little rack is exactly what I needed for my laundry area. The size is perfect because it has a very low profile and stays out of the way when I'm not using it, but it's incredibly handy to have that extra hanging space while I'm sorting clothes. Even though it's on the smaller side, the 304 stainless steel feels high quality and sturdy. Putting it up was a breeze since it only required a couple of screws. It’s a simple, well-made solution for a small space.

This is a nice swing away clothes drying rack. It feels well made, and like it should be able to hold up to regular use. The coating is smooth and seems to be a good thickness. The mounting plate is a reasonable thickness and the connection point to the swing bar looks to be decently attached. The bar swings smoothly, with a good amount of resistance to help it stay in place. This is reasonably priced for what you get.
