Interchangable with other GE filter housings
Interchangeable with some other GE filter housing parts which may have been discontinued!!I needed to replace cracked filter housing (part WR17X11756) for my GE Profile side-by-side fridge, but the part is no longer made.Very bummed because water/ice will not work if housing cracked (unless you want water all over the floor everyday).I thought this part looked similar, so I tried it. Had a repairman install it and it fit!! One tube was little longer than needed, but no a problem.

Quick easy fix for a low pressure or non working water filter on GE refrigerator
My GE refrigerator water dispencer stopped working. It had low water pressure and a vibrating sound coming from the back of frig water lines. I ordered this product which came in Two days. From start to finish it took me about 30 min to replace. It did not come with instructions but I watched the video on YouTube on how to replace the part. This fixed my water problem instantly. This was an easy fix. A repair person would of charged an arm and leg to do this probably. The part was a little expensive in my opinion but it was better than buying a new frig. Will order again from this company if needed.

Fixed GE refrigerator slow water dispenser problem
This worked great, the biggest hassle was moving the refrigerator out and finding the exact part number for my exact model number which was GSE25ESHB SS.Watch youtube videos for the easy replacement. Search for slow water dispensing or water filter making hammering noise.I decided not to screw in the back metal plate cover over the cables in case a kink was the original cause. Make sure to use enough plumbers putty to create a really good seal - check inside and out of the fridge. But I suspect it is the cheap plastic valve they use that makes contact with the water filter that wears out over time.Water is now gushing like new and also doesn't make as much weird noises at night. This price is about double from GE's website but they are out of stock because literally everyone has this problem.

Perfect fit, easy install
The model number has changed over time, as stated in the description, this one matches and is a GE product. It comes in a large enough box so that it arrives safely. A few YouTube videos and you can swap out the part with ease. No more water hammer and a smooth flow of water.

Waterline came up short
unfortunately, the waterline was too short but otherwise a great replacement part. Make sure that you have all tools available and watch video instructions before starting.

Fantastic! Another easy fix
Thanks for the easy-to-follow directions and the heads-up. I have had this problem before and after removing and re-installing the new filter several times the problem went away. The problem is back now and the old method no longer works. I will try your method. Hopefully I can just make a washer/gasket work. I happen to have a plastic washer (probably polypropylene). I think that the filter manufacturers may have changed the internal dimensions just enough that they no longer push up sufficiently on the valve. - when you pull the refrigerator out, make sure that the input water line is not kinked.

We saw a Youtube video which described replacement of this perfectly
The part fit perfectly into our five year old fridge which had started making noises about two years ago. We had an extended warranty, but it had a $100 deductible. After watching the video and planning out how to proceed, it took under an hour. My biggest problem was the valve in the wall where the supply hose comes out was not working. I had to have my wife shut the whole house supply off and wait for the pressure to subside. I had buckets and towels ready to contain the water. If you've got a 1/2 inch wrench (or two), an adjustable wrench, a 5/16 and 1/4 inch hex nut drivers and basic mechanical ability, you can do it.

Fixed jackhammer sound and spitting water! Perfect fit!
Perfect fit for GE Model: DSE26JSEBCSS. My fridge was making a jack hammer like sound while the water flow cut out. I first tried a quick rig fix by putting a rubber hose washer in the little well at the top of the water filter around the hole where the water spigot sticks in, and then reinstalled the filter. That worked for like a week or two but then I needed a real fix. Got this, put it in (pretty easy to install yourself) and all is well again!
