Very good product which helps tremendously when trying to decorate

Excited to use them got them for decorating for a baby shower

I mostly chose this product because there were only 12 in the package (unlike most other sellers who sold 40, 60, or 90 in a pack - who needs that many?!) and I consider Wilton to be a reputable brand. I was concerned that they may not be tight enough to stop royal icing seeping past with pressure during piping if they are easy enough to get in place. Worries, thus far, have been allayed as I can easily tighten them by pulling on the anchor and there is enough friction to hold everything suitably in place.

They work great

Putting one of these on the end of an icing bag makes it faster and less messy when cake decorating cakes or cookies. They go on nice and tight if you wrap it around twice and they keep the icing from coming out the back end of the bag. It saves time with not having to be so careful how much icing you put in each bag and how you squeeze it. They come off easily when done to be used over and over. I love these and also the bar style that snaps down onto a folded bag. Great products for cake and cookie decorating!

We have a critically ill kitty we have been nursing along for over a year. Besides all the meds and giving him fluids daily, we have also been feeding him a new prescription cat food that is semi-solid. It was extremely time and labor intensive to feed him via syringe. We finally decided to try disposable pastry bags. Twisties for baggies and rubber bands did not work well to tie the upper portion of the pastry bag to prevent the cat food from coming out of the top. I kept looking and found the icing bag ties. Outstanding! We trim the bag a little, fold it down, fill it with 1/2 of a small can, move the food down, put on an icing bag tie, trim the bag again, snip the closed end to a good size, and voila. It is now a snap to feed Antoine. It all comes down to having the right tools. We are very, very happy!

I have enjoyed learning to make pretty royal icing cookies. Decorating is fun, but the assembling of supplies and clean up is a chore. Initially I was using rubber bands, either normal or kids elastic ties, to secure the tops of my bags. Finding these has been great. Using rubber bands you have to pull the top off the bag through with each loop. These are easy to secure using a hook and anchor type closure. You just put it on your thumb and first finger, wrap those around the neck of the bag and then flip the smooth side of the band over the hook. I am posting a video so you can see this in action. The bands prevent the icing from pushing through the top. I have been using these and some from a different brand. They are essentially the same, but different colors. I highly recommend icing bag ties! You won't regret it.

I had no idea how much I needed these! I like to save my differently colored batches of cookie icing in the fridge for up to a month, so just twisting the bag closed will not work. Rubber bands are just clumsy. All of the ties were tight enough for even a small disposable icing bag, so no problem with the size of each tie. I want my hard work in making the icing to last, and with these ties, the icing does not dry out and they prevent leaking at the top perfectly, which also prevents a sticky bag on the outside. These are not rubber bands – they have a design meant for a specific purpose, with a flat rubber circle and a clever hook to close it. And they are sturdy and reusable. Overall, they eliminate that nagging worry that the bag will be a problem while you are trying to concentrate on an icing project. No worries!

These bag ties are too good, and so very convenient to use.
