Written and recorded as lead singer and songwriter, Michelle Joy rebuilt her health, showcasing less the sound of a band returning from a rest, and more a trio of friends reinventing the way they create, collaborate, and sound. The 11 songs of Everything Glows navigate heartbreak and codependence, brokenness and, ultimately, liberation, spotlighting a group that found new ways to move forward and absolute excitement in both the process and its results. Review: Another excellent Cannon's album !!! - I have come to really, really, enjoy this band with their ambient, dreamy, smooth grooves and Michelle Joy's vocal stylings on top. Altogether a very calming and relaxing combination for me while still retaining a healthy amount of mid-tempo foot tapping. This is an excellent album showing both artistic growth, as well continuity with their previous offerings. As a middle aged dude who's more into classic rock/"dad rock", it's possible that i'm not the most common audience demographic for this band, however, whatever it is, these guys have me thoroughly captivated. Loving the music, wishing them all the success possible and looking to support in whatever way I can. (always did like Sade, Roxy Music and numerous other similar artists, so perhaps that's part of the draw...?) Review: If you like Cannons, get this album. - I love Cannons. The music is great. I can and have listen to the cd over and over. I will definitely buy more cd's from them.
