The rubber containers have magnets built in, and comes with two metal decals that you can use to attach it to non-metallic areas. As for the function, once I pushed the little power button, it came to life and I was able to connect it to my Android or iOS device fairly easily. I tested how well it could be located, and it seemed to work just like a real Airtag. You're able to play a sound through the tracker device just like other similar devices. Overall, for about $10, these are fantastic. I'll test it out the next time I'm at the theme parks and see how well it works. I'll update this review if there are any issues with it. But so far it seems like a really spectacular deal for the price... Five stars out of five... For the price alone I would give it more stars if I could. But being able to use it on either Android or iOS is another outstanding bonus. Most other similar devices can only work on one system or another. And, these come with spare batteries. I'm not sure it's worth using it on your vehicle when it's range is less then a mile (350 ft) and you have to rely on other cell phone users to estimate it's location. I use it for my cat, she's indoors most of the time but occasionally she wonders outside. I did a few tests and it seems to work fine, I can now find her quickly. I recommend this GPS tracker for your pets, or other items used in or near your home.
