Works as described. It needs direct sunlight on the entire array to work at full power. A shadow from any source, even a cloud, will diminish the stream or stop it completely. The odd part is it will stop working for a while as the sun sets, and then start again on battery power once it is dark. It is a little dissappoint8ng because I tend to sit out on my patio after dinner right at that time. You should know that the full power spray from this with any of the attachments needs at least a 24" basin.

The fountain is working beautifully and so are the solar lights. Right now I have it in my pool but I plan on putting it in a bird bath. I'm not sure you could see the color of the LED lights but they're so vibrant and change colors. I highly recommend this fountain if you're looking for a solar fountain that has a variety of sprays that come with the item and also beautiful LED lights.

I've had many solar bird bath fountains similar to this one. I have them all over my garden. I decided to add one more, and went with this one. Well, after a full charge and it being in total sunlight, It stopped working after a day and a half. I tried all of the usual troubleshooting tips, and it just wouldn't start back up. Total disappointment, I wanted to try the "UFO" style one, because it just looked really neat. This is the second one from this maker/company that has not lasted. I do not recommend buying this fountain.

This solar birdbath fountain adds some life & color to a normally boring birdbath. These fountains come in several "levels" of functionality. 1) The basic: This is a fountain-only (no LEDs) that only works in direct sunlight. It has no battery storage and will not pump if a shadow falls over it, even on a bright, sunny day. The pump only has one level. 2) A little more: This one adds color LEDs that run at night and change colors. But you have no control over them. This adds a battery, but it's only sufficient to run the lights at night and keep the pump in the day-time running if it's not totally in the sun. The pump only has one level. 3) Almost the best: This adds a bigger battery and the lights AND pump will run at night. The pump only has one level. 4) Top of the Line: This adds the biggest battery and a remote control. This fountain has three levels of pump (not including "off"), the highest of which will probably spray your water all over the patio. The remote is not line-of-sight (i.e., it will work even if you can't see the fountain). Additionally, you can change the level & colors of the LEDs. Unfortunately, if you have more than one, the remote will change ALL of them (they are not unique to the fountain they came with). This one is "Almost the best" It has the battery to run at night, but you have no control over it. You set it in the water and it does what it does. It really adds some nice atmosphere to a backyard setup.

It comes with a booklet on how to operate it and several spray modes. I like to keep the spray low like bubbling so it does not spray the water out of my little birdbath but with the right nozzle it can blow spray quite high. It is impressive and would be really great in a larger birdbath. It does come with little plastic tube 'stand-offs' so it will stay in the center of the birdbath. My bath is so small it doesn't need them. It is suppose to shut off when the water gets low but have not had that happen yet, I fill my bath twice daily and we have not had any wind to blow it out. I haven't noticed any color at night but it is quite a distance into my yard/garden from the porch and the birds and I don't visit at night. This fountain appears to be sturdy and made well. It comes with extra filters, little pieces of sponge, and instructions on how to change the battery. It takes very little sunshine to make it work. I especially like the auto-off function for times I forget to top-off the bath with water. Comparing to the ones I have had in the past, I believe this fountain to be a good value. Very glad I got it.

The parts all feel quite sturdy and durable. The solar fountain is a fair size and will fit well in my birdbath, still allowing birds to actually bathe. Ha The included instructions are very easy to understand. I hope to update once the weather is warm enough to begin all the springtime upgrades. Good value for the price thusfar.

I really appreciate having this solar fountain, solar fountains are great!!! Our backyard as an inground tiled water basin, we have lily pads and small fish, during the summer. Solar fountains totally completes the look and adds visual appeal. I like that this is an upgraded 5W solar panel, I have the 3.5W also. I like to use when you sit in the backyard, hear the water fountain it is so relaxing!!! I really like this solar fountain as I can use it to create greater visual appeal with the changing colours, at night it will look great. I like that with this solar fountain, I change up the style of water fall. I like to use solar fountains to also change the spray nodes, great as you can find the water fall that keeps the birds around and happy. It has a 4000mAh backup battery, long lasting so after continuous charge in the sun during the day, I can use it at night knowing it will work and run for hours. BONUS -it's cordless!!! Runs on solar charging, much better than the corded one I have. I can also use this is the larger bird bath!!! I really like that it has auto-shut off when the water gets too low, great feature!!! I have a birdbath that had a fountain in it that does not work anymore. I needed a new fountain and wanted something that did not require complicated setup and wiring. I came across this Solar fountain by GAIZERL and wanted to give it a try. The fountain arrived packaged with several nozzles, a user manual, extra filter material, and small, straw-like pieces for keeping the fountain in the center of the birdbath. Set up is super easy. You select the nozzle that you want and press it on the top. You then put the straw-like plastic pieces into the sides. These help to keep the fountain centered in the birdbath. The fountain not only has a solar panel but also has a built-in 4000mAh battery. When you place this in the birdbath and the sun, it almost immediately starts working. The battery also charges when there is a lot of sunlight. I found that because my yard has a lot of shade, the fountain does not get direct sunlight the whole day. Even though the fountain still runs fine, I have found there is not a lot of energy in the battery to run much longer than about 2 hours after sunset. This is not a problem with the fountain but an issue with my yard. They claim that with full charging, you will get 4-6 hours of run time after dark. I have not been able to test this. There are LEDs on the fountain that look great at night. I do like the different patterns you can get with the different nozzles. There is a nice variety from low to high shooting ones. I prefer the lower ones since the nozzles that shoot too high will sometimes cause the water to be lost. The fountain feels very solid. You can open the bottom and gain access to the pump that you can easily clean if it gets clogged. You can also replace and clean the filter material I am very happy with this solar garden fountain. It is well-made, looks great, and is super easy to set up. I do recommend it.

This is a robust built UFO looking solar fountain. I am quite impressed by it. I have previously owned very small solar fountains that are low quality, but this one is built with strong plastic materials, substantial in size at 9”, and has an ample sized pump and solar panel surface. This comes with a variety of 7 different nozzles to choose from for your fountain spraying preference. It’s winter here right now so I don’t have my birdbath out yet, so I placed this out in a bucket of water to test its capabilities, and it started immediately once I placed it in the sun (and it’s winter!). Full fountain spray mode immediately! The standout feature on this solar fountain that is far superior over others is that this has LED lights that light up for many hours after the sun sets, PLUS the fountain sprayer component still operates after the sun sets too. The circular solar panels charge up the 4000 mAh battery and the ad states that the LED lights can run for 4-6 hours after the sun goes down if the battery has been fully charged. Right now, as I presently type this, the solar fountain is still running at 11:23 PM and the sun set at 6:11 PM today, so that’s over 5 hours and it’s still running strong. What also makes this a superior fountain and probably the most important as far as longevity goes, is the fact that this has a smart low-water sensor that automatically shuts the pump off to prevent the motor from burning out when the water becomes low. Burnt out air pumps have been the demise of all my past solar fountains, so this most definitely is an important feature. This is a fantastic solar fountain in functionality, performance and quality. Hands down it’s the best solar fountain I have used. The fact that it’s a fountain by day and a light show fountain by night is the coolest feature! And all just powered by the sun! Pretty incredible! I love it.
