my 70 amp version that normally works fine tripped at 60
I use these types of breakers for my solar projects. They come in varying sizes. It allows you to manually open and close the circuit at will without having to move wires. I use these before and after each solar charge controller. This comes in handy for maintenance, trouble shooting a system, or just turning off a portion of the system. They do trip at lower than the rating when the environment gets warmer and that is part of the design. For example, my 70 amp version that normally works fine tripped at 60.5 amps when the temp around the system was over 110F. Ideally you dont want to have the system exposed to temps in that range anyway. After exhausting the heat the breaker worked as usual again.

Quality materials!
Fantastic high quality circuit breaker that will stand the test of time! I don't know what they put into this marine-grade circuit breaker but it must be good. I use this as a master shut off for all of my auxiliary electronics in my minivan. This switch is repeatedly pressed on and off at least five to 15 times a day!I went through about 5 cheap Chinese marine-grade circuit breakers that claim to be as good as this one. However the cheap Chinese ones either kept breaking, burning out or having current leak when they are in the off position! Quality matters when you're dealing with circuit breakers especially marine-grade ones. From somebody that has wired a lot of electrical stuff this is probably the one thing you do not want to cut corners or skimp money on! You can't go wrong with anything from Blue Sea.If you're going to buy any marine-grade circuit breaker it best be this one!

Bought used; came busted
Bought the used version, which was about 13 bucks cheaper than the new version. It came nasty dirty, the top right screw hole is totally busted open, and it's missing the nuts shown in the picture to fasten wires to it. Don't buy these used folks, it's not worth it.

Quality breakers are worth every penny
Breakers are important. Completely ignored once installed, they labor in anonymity while saving your wiring and devices from failing and thus putting your life in danger. There are so many junk breakers out there now, made with sketchy materials and shoddy workmanship. If you’re lucky, they trip early and are a constant nuisance. If you’re unlucky they don’t trip at all and your gear, and maybe you, get burned. It isn’t worth it... pay for quality and sleep peacefully. It sure beats cheaping out, and “resting in peace.”

They meet their specifications
I bought the 150A version. I ran the same test I did on the less expensive brands of these breakers. The other brands would trip around 80A to 90A (sometimes even less). This brand, I was able to run at 120A for about 45 minutes before I had to reduce the current because my test equipment was getting too hot. These actually appear to work at their rated current. Don't waste your money on the less expensive brands, get these if you are looking for breakers that actually meet their specifications. Also, the measured on resistance was about 0.0005 Ohms. Much better than other brands that I tested. Very nice pads around the studs for very low contact resistance.

Great for automotive too.
Used this instead of a fuse for an auxiliary fuse block that I added to my Jeep. Used a Blue Sea fuse block and was impressed by the quality, so I got their circuit breaker too. Good quality unit, the rubber caps for the studs are a nice touch. The best feature is the red button that lets you manually trip the breaker. Intended for marine applications, have had no issues with it on my Jeep for the past year, and can't imagine I ever will.

Excellent circuit breaker!
It's from Blue Sea Systems, so you know it's good! We mounted this as the main breaker for our RV power system, as well as our battery disconnect should we need to perform maintenance on the system. It's small, easy to see if tripped, and easy to trip if you need to turn it off. It's been well used for the last 6 months, and seems to still be going strong. Thanks!

Being able to disconnect the breaker with button is amazing
If you have a boat with batteries going to trolling motors, fish finder or lights these are the best. I find that even with everything turned off, there is a little bleeding of power your batteries go through as the wires are always supplied with power from the battery. By disconnecting the breaker, it shortens the amount of lines that are energized and therefore preserving more battery levels during storage or transit/.

This circuit breaker worked for my marine application as a combined Isolator and Circuit protection device for my Bowthruster , the device is smaller than anticipated .

Arrived on time and works well
Product arrived on time. Installation was straight forward and so far it runs well. Will update this review once fully tested on max amps. But so far, quality is solid.December 24, 2020 Update:After 3 months of use. The system still runs perfectly well and stable. Always buy good quality circuit breaker like Blue Sea Systems. Don't buy cheap knock offs.

Provides safety, protection and a clean installation.
I surface mounted this to the battery box for the house side of the motorhome. Allows easily accessible disconnection while keeping all the cables hidden inside the box. Bluesea makes great products. I will definitely be purchasing more of their stuff in the future.

Very dissapointed
I bought this thinking it was a high quality product but I haven't even installed it yet and it failed. I bought in 2018 and went to install this year but when I press the test button it opened as its supposed to but now it won't reset. I haven't even used it yet .
