Do Yourself A Favor: Get This One!
I’ve been looking for something like this for over a year, but all of the options seemed obviously flawed to me, too cheap and flimsy, too immobile, questionable structural components, etc. On a slightly separate note I ended up turning to this company, Levo, for an e-reader and tablet holder a couple of months ago, and was thrilled with the results. On that basis I made the leap and bout this laptop/reading/tablet tray, and I’m glad I did. As it happens I’m writing this review on my laptop, on the Levo stand. First things first, the quality of the construction is very high; parts fit without a bit of effort, the various components are all excellent. The packaging for both of the Levo products I’ve gotten both met an extremely high standard, and the instructions in both cases were trivially easy to follow. They have a number to call if you need help with anything, but I never had a reason to use it. The arms of the stand are all powder-coated aluminum, and they’re light as well as sturdy. The base is a SERIOUSLY heavy beast on locking casters, which is what you need for something like this! With a heavy base, even resting my hands on the keyboard, I never feel like there’s a sense of instability. After less than 10 minutes I had my working laptop stand and no complaints. The mobility of the tray portion is outstanding, and you really can use this every which way. The flip-up tabs at the bottom do the job of keeping the laptop from slipping, as well as the little elastic straps you can use to further secure it. Adjustments are easy to make, in terms of height (two simple paddles lock and unlock the two-stage height adjustment), tilt of the tray (a single knob does that), and even the tension on the swing-arms is easily adjustable with a quarter. The result is that for different uses, you can have a super-stable platform, or one that can be readily adjusted to any angle. For me, this has helped a lot with keeping me from using my laptop on my actual lap, and it looks good doing it. If you found yourself here looking for something to hold your laptop, and you’re not sure because some other models are a little less expensive… just get this one. Yes, it’s a bit more than some others, but it is also MASSIVELY more reliable and useful.

My La-Z-Boy is my Home Office!
I travel a lot for work and when I'm not on the road, I work from home. Of course, during the pandemic a lot of people worked from home, and I worked almost exclusively at my house for nearly a year and a half. I used to work with my laptop on my lap in my La-Z-Boy, at the desk in our bonus room, or at the dinning room table as I don't have a "home office" per se. However, during the pandemic my wife worked from home as well, and she used the desk for her work. I needed something, and fast! The Levo Laptop holder is awesome! It was very easy to assemble, and has many adjustment features. This comes in handy during online meetings. I can quickly raise my laptop upward so as to better hide my double-chin. Nobody wants to see that. But (fellas), you still have to trim your nasal follicles. This laptop holder is great, but it can't work miracles, walk on water, etc. This product is sturdy, hefty, and is well made. It swivels easily, which allows me to push my laptop aside quickly to stand up from my recliner. In short, don't mess around with some flimsy laptop holder. This one is all anyone needs. I highly recommend!

Well that was heavier than I expected
I bought this to replace a different laptop stand, and it has pros and cons. PROS: -Quite sturdy. All the truly necessary bits are made out of very solid metal. The base is quite heavily weighted for safety. The whole thing feels like it should appear in in the "Clue" board game as a possible murder weapon. -I primarily got this so I could use my laptop while also having my cat in my lap while sitting in my chair. It does work for that, I'm doing it right now. -The cat was less helpful putting it together than she thought she was but was easily distracted with the plentiful carboard packaging. -They included an extra laptop safety cord, just in case, which was a good thought. It's the one thing that actually might break. CONS: -Be careful putting this together. I kept nearly hitting myself in the nose with metal pipes. This is maybe a sign that I should have had another pair of hands to help, but then again, that might have just meant it was a different nose in danger. -You are going to stub your toe on the base. It's going to hurt. -My previous laptop stand I felt very safe just letting my laptop be stored as sitting on the shelf of it. I'm less sure about just leaving my laptop on this stand, for reasons explained in the "improvements" part below. -I also got the mouse accessory part for this desk. You will convince yourself that you've put it together backwards and then realize you were wrong slightly too late. It's still a decent mouse tray, though it is slightly less sturdy than the rest of the desk. (Also my mouse doesn't quite fit in the "earbuds" pocket, but it's not like they said it would, either.) -Good heavens the package it arrives in is heavy, and an awkward size. I'm also confused about why it was packed in a package that size and shape- it looks very much like the adapted packaging from another item for it. Getting the box inside my front door was a trial, and actually taking everything out of the boxes involved a very sturdy set of kitchen shears, more patience than I usually have, and some unpleasant language. Improvements I'd love to see: -The tray that the laptop sits on: I'd love to see the top surface rubberized so the laptop slides around less. I may get a rubber mat for that. -The little phalanges that are at the bottom of the surface the laptop sits on, to keep it from sliding off, could also have rubber edges. My wrists rub up against them while I use the desk, and also it would keep the laptop from sliding around as well. -The "safety cord" for the laptop means that you can't close the laptop while it's on the stand, if you're using it. I've gotten into the habit of automatically closing my laptop when I'm done using it, so I'm not sure I'll use that feature. But I also worry about the laptop sliding off, so I'm not sure I should store the laptop on the desk when I'm not using it. (If the top surface and phalanges were rubberized I'd feel more safe about leaving the laptop there without using the safety cord.) -The hex wrench they give you to put it together with: if they slightly thinned out an edge of the handle, you could use it instead of the quarter and the screwdriver they suggest also using to put the whole thing together. Then you'd just need one tool. Anyway, that's after putting it together and using it for a few minutes. We'll see how it ages!

No Fuss Set-Up and Very Versatile
I'll start by saying that I did have a little trouble with the manual not being the updated version for the version I received. The service from Levo was prompt, courteous and engaging, not at all the cookie-cutter experience I am used to. The base on this product is very heavy. I can manage on my own, but others might have some issues flipping and move it. That's just a warning. The base needs to be heavy in order to keep the whole thing from tipping. So I selected this specific desk for use with a recliner. There were a lot of options out there but many relied on a certain clearance under the recliner itself or had a table that may or may not allow for much movement of the recliner or offer adjustments. This was not only easy to put together, easier than what the original model looks to offer, but it adjust very easily as well. It fits my work laptop just fine, my large gaming laptop, not so much, and of course the tables and MS Surface work fine. To be clear, this was not meant for my gaming laptop, so that was not a requirement or expectation. It was just there so I tried. The use of it and then sort of pushing it to the side, out of the way is easy. The strap and the button plastic "feet" hold the laptop easily. I've had no issues with slippage or concerns of falling. Yes, I've bumped the thing while rocking, not super hard, but it's not so unbalanced that it just fell. It didn't fall thankfully. Generally this a great option that can be used for standing, sitting or lying in bed. Versatility is one the reasons for picking it! I'd get it again or suggest it to someone who was looking for same, not intrusive and flexible offering.

Perfect.
I searched for a very long time for a table that could do everything I needed it to do. This is it! It’s great for chair side to keep my hobby bits close. It’s also a great tv tray, iPad desk, kindle prop and walking pad water/phone/remote holder. Since I don’t need to do much typing on it, it works great for me. If I needed to type, I think the wobble could be bothersome. I don’t need to use the accessory attachment. I thought it would work to hold a coffee mug or water cup, but any heft that far away from the arm seems a risk. Overall exceeds expectations.

Functional piece of furniture
I bought the basket with the item to use as a book catch or trash bin (I insert a plastic bag for trash before using it as such. Base does go well on hard surface floors and probably some carpets. The base, main support arm (the vertical one) and the arm holding the tray are all sturdy. The "shelf" for the laptop is a bit tricky and can be shaky. In addition, it has 3 tightening handles. It is tricky to change positions of this shelf from flat to angled or to change the direction it faces from the support arm. Even with all that working about, the shelf becomes unstable at points until one gets those screws very tight, The purpose of my purchasing this was for my ALS afflicted spouse who uses an IPAD. Some well placed hook and loop fabric strips glue in places might be of help. My intent was to give my spouse a sturdy work surface to hold books, her IPAD and or a box of tissues. There is an extra cord and some plastic plugs this elastic cord with crimped on metal ends seemed obvious to be used to where the support brackets poop up on the bottom. Each end of that side of the support shelf has a hole in each corner. Seemed logical that this strap could be used by putting the ends along with the plugs into the holes. Problem is they do not fit!. I wish the shelf had a more dynamic articulation and a better locking mechanism.

Perfect for working while reclined or lying down.
High Quality. Excellent design. The box on the base is a counterweight which easily stabilizes a heavy computer. I purchased it to be able to work laying down on my back following a neck fusion. It was a perfect solution. I will use it when I recover from surgery to watch movies, answer emails or do anything when laying down on the couch or in bed. I can easily swing the laptop away to get up as it rotates on its base. Finally, the computer holder easily adjusts in almost every plane or configuration without turning knobs. The computer is held in place by a strong band at the base of the screen which is designed to protect your computer while holding it firmly in place. The hight is quickly adjustable too.

Glad I bought it, worth the cost.
I'd been toying with the purchase of a laptop desk in order to be able to work in bed and I couldn't stomach the cost and had bought cheaper trays that weren't quite tall enough and didnt allow the tilt this one does. After 3 years of rarely using those and being irritated when I did, I treated myself to the expensive version closer to what I wanted. I have a 17 inch computer and it does fit it, it's a little more difficult to fit it in the strap though but doable... would be easier with 3 hands. Anyway, with this to the tallest height, I can work literally lying down in my very tall bed (mattress is a foot thick). The swivel is great so I can move it to get in and out of bed easily, the base doesn't roll on carpet super easily so if it didnt swivel it would have not been good for me. Very heavy base to lend it stability, it starts to tip when I swivel my laptop too fast but that's probably because I have it overloaded with a big computer and at the tallest height. Easy to assemble, only difficulty was the laptop tray, had to lubricate the joints and really pull to make it tilt and swivel. Super happy with it now because I can reposition easily but it stays in place once I've set it. The feature to level the computer out was very nice to (ie, how the swivel arm may tilt down with too much weight so you can "straighten" the tray to make the computer perpendicular with floor instead of slightly askew). If I had to make recommendations, I would have wished for a small attachment surface to put my phone on (others would like it for a mouse). Also just and inch or two taller would have been great but it likely would have meant the base had to be larger to not sacrifice stability. Lastly, the tray (and holes on either side to hold the laptop strap) a little wider so it is easier to slide my 17inch laptop in and out. All in all, happy I did shell out the extra cash for it. Now I can do a little coding at night or in the morning in bed, I can even nurse my daughter while doing it!
