This DreamWorks Production has next to nothing to do with the original Fairy Tale of Puss in Boots, and rather "glorifies" all the great technical achievements of our time in numerous labyrinths of dizzying story additions with suggestive references to bad behavior that adults will recognize, but children will be puzzled by (let's hope). The original fairy tale is about how human beings can become animals through dominating others - ugly, behaving like/being animals. And through this classic fairy tale is revealed a real moral danger to become aware of and to correct. Puss in Boots, with Christopher Walken, is a wonderful, accurate and ultimately healthy version of the classic tale, true in a delightful way to its moral lesson. Let your children see and learn the true meaning of Puss in Boots with the MGM version with Christopher Walken. And adults will also appreciate and understand the real-life moral dangers overcome in this fairy tale.
