Minka-Aire F556L-BWH Contractor Plus 52 Inch Ceiling Fan with Integrated 16W LED Light in Bone White Finish

I bought an all white unit and it blends into my white ceiling just as I hoped it would.I have a slight vault in my ceiling and did not need to buy a separate drop rod. It's not clear from the photo how long it would be and it's clearly shorter than implied by the photo but it worked out great.I love the remote. I love the detailing of the sleek design. I especially love that there's no massive lighting package hanging down. The soft LED dome is just what I would have loved to have had all the many fans before that cost so much more.

Great fan, great price. I have 5, one in every room of the house, liked it so much I recommended this to my mother in law and she ended up getting 3! We should buy stock in the company. I had and electrician install them, but I think the installation is pretty standard. Make sure you save the instructions on how to synchronize your control, we had to do it a couple of times after a few electric storms.

The Positives: We put this fan in our family room with 8 ft ceilings and found that it was a fine height even if not totally flush mount (though see comment below about light quality). It is high quality and great air flow. Definitely does not feel like those cheap fans you can buy at home Depot. The remote works really well and we have had no issues.The Negatives: we installed it ourselves and it is a pain because you have to fit this large remote box up in the recess. But, we have found that the mid-grade remote fans all have this annoying box feature and to get one that doesn't have this, you have to spend quite a bit more. The biggest negative though is the light quality is HORRIBLE. I'm not entirely sure if it is just the way LED lighting is, the fact we are using it on a lower ceiling or a problem with minka fans, but I find it hard to sit in the room with it on because the glare hurts my eyes. It is just miserable. And, it is a light kit where you can't change bulb and you can't get a different light kit. It is so bad, in fact, that we will be moving this fan to a bedroom where we don't use the overhead light as much. I think it might feel a bit less harsh if it was installed in a room with significantly higher ceilings or a room where you want really bright light, perhaps. I will admit, however, that my husband is unfazed by it. But others also agreed it is unpleasant, so maybe to each their own.

We wanted a sleek, quiet fan with a light. This is it! We didn't think we needed a remote, but now we like it better than our older fans. The blades speeds are: keep the air moving, "this will cool you down", and "nice breeze!". The light adjusts gradually from a soft illumination, to "do I need sunscreen?" bright - great for homework, or working at home. :)

This fan, light with remote was bought to replace a non-remote bedroom fan.Install went well, but it has an annoying motor hum on all 3 speeds, which is unsatisfactory!!

Bought three fans from seller. . Installed about 2 months after receipt. Two of the fans have warped blades and are unusable. Thought only one fan was bad but when I turned up to medium speed, both fans vibrate and make lots of noise. One shakes violently. Contacted the seller. They won't warranty the fans. I WOULD NOT BUY FROM THIS SELLER AGAIN.

It was extremely easy to install (although there are quite a few steps) and it didn't need any "adjustments" (balancing, redos, etc). It runs great (quiet, slight hum) and the light is bright enough for a 12x12 room.
