Sportage Replacement Flip Key Shell For Chevrolet Cruze (All Models)

Changing the case by transferring the PCB took just a few minutes after watching the video through the link sent promptly by the seller as soon as the order was placed. Took about half an hour to take out the small pin to remove the dummy key and to replace it with the original car key from the old key case. Just used a pair of pliers, a small nail and a hammer. Vice and work bench are not really required. Also had to use a small file to file the inserted edge of the original key by a fraction of a millimetre to align the retaining pin with the pinhole though it fits perfectly into the slot. Chevrolet logo with double sided sticker tape also provided by seller. Amazing value for money and great quality. Looks just like to original. Photos of the old and new cases attached to show the result which is very satisfying.

This is not a replacement shell , it can only used for making another duplicate key , we cannot put the old key to this , because the size of the shell is not same

Good Stuff!Unfortunately, I need proper tools (which i don't have) to get the key (the long metal bit that goes into the ignition slot) from the old fob to the new one.That is why I have rated this as 4 star since the old key cannot simply be put into the new fob without some hammering and grinding.So, right now I am using the remote int he new fob that I carry around and looks awesome, and the old fob that has the old key for starting up the car. This is until I get it sorted.UPDATE: Got the original key fixed into the replacement fob. The pin that holds the key in place broke into pieces that came with the new shell shattered. I used the pin from the original key and with some filing and grinding, got the key to fit and works great.

As good as original in finish and quality, while saving you loads of money from GM sharks. However, it takes some effort to put the key together as taking out the pin that holds the key is not easy. Use a fine nail and light hammer action and a plier to take it out ( Ideally speaking, it should have been possible to put the entire metal key assembly back but due to mismatch I had to take out the key and put it into the key insert that came with the fob. You may need a set of helping hands as most of us will not have a bench vice at home. But the effort was worth it.

This really fits perfect to my cruze.and d quality of the product is not up to the level.buttons are not even.open button is bulgy and hard to press.and the logo is missing

Top quality product, in fact better than the original key fob. Fixing the key was easy just that the changing the mechanical key to the new fob was bit of a task as it requires to remove a tiny pin insert which needs a special pointed tool. Overall pretty much satisfied with the product with the quality and details put in to this replacement key fob complete with branding and other details as in the original. Would definitely recommend this for Chevrolet Cruze cars.

Complete waste of money.Don't buy as your key won’t work. Old key parts does not fit properly into it. Flaw in design and mechanism.
