Tintin: Herge's Masterpiece

I have numerous books on Tintin and Herge and have to say this edition was somewhat of a disappointment. The translation is a bit flowery and in places nonsensical and the familiar format of blowing up panels and running a summary of each adventure comes across as tired and lazy.It is a nicely produced book, which would explain the price, but there is no innovation here and the light content meant that I had flicked through the whole thing in a couple of hours.If you need a good Tintin reference book I'd recommend 'Tintin and Herge - Reporters' or 'Tintin : The Complete Companion' ahead of this production which offers nothing new, even to those with only a passing interest in the subject matter.

Superb info about Tintin. So much to look at, it'll take months to take it all in. Love it.

Excellent. Fabulous drawings and interesting text.

When life is chaos I sit down with comics. Just a tiny bit of escape. This is a nice thick book, illustrations are spot on and totally funny. Love it.
