Excellent Read for Business Leaders & Executives
Focused, practical, modern. Book gave practical counsel on the real issues we're facing as we build and implement our strategic plan. Author has obvious deep and broad understanding of the decades-long hoshin kanri and strategic planning bodies of knowledge, and she brought it all into the 21st century. Particularly like the "articles" format, where each chapter is a stand-alone piece on a key area of planning, such as measurement, leadership, organizing, change mgmt...

Excellent Resource
This practical book on Hoshin Planning integrates the thinking of Akao, Porter, and social scientists like Spinoza and Edgar Schein into the discussion of what happens in organizations when Hoshin Planning is fully applied. It is true to all the tools and principles of the Hoshin Planning tradition, and yet fully tuned into the needs of modern company implementations. The book is written in the way that demonstrates the author is an experienced and successful consultant in the field. It is packed with real examples and stories from Boisvert's consulting work with numerous companies across a variety of industries. A must read if you are thinking about implementing Hoshin Planning or you are already doing it and need to do it better!

Excellent Read for LEADERS looking for more...
In this book the author provides insight that is real, honest and practical. As any executive knows the path to improvement is strewn with obstacles, Boisvert expertly tackles those obstacles head on and confidently acknowledges the "messiness" that can occur in organizations. The book is well written and engaging. I appreciate that it not only includes technical tools but also provides great insight into the "human" side of Hoshin Planning. A must read for leaders looking to begin (or improve) their Hoshin Journey.

I would recommend this book to those who are interested in seeing ...
Boisvert makes clear the difference between a market strategy and Hoshin as a strategic level tool for operational effectiveness to maintain that market strategy. Once a market strategy starts to form, Hoshin helps prioritize, align, deploy, and review the activities that will move the organization into that strategy and hold its position there. This book has helped me by providing relatable examples in the everyday realities that businesses go through. I would recommend this book to those who are interested in seeing how Hoshin might really look in their organization.
