I was hoping to really like this; sorry for being a wet blanket on all the other positive reviews. Bluetooth was totally DOA and despite many attempts, it would not pair to my iPhone or iPad.The line input worked and the sound was acceptable but not outstanding. I did a side by side with an Audio Pro T4 which I purchased several months ago for $99 on Amazon. The difference was slight but I preferred the T4 as it seemed a little crisper and more defined in the mid and low range. I have the Marshall wired to an Amazon Dot and it does what I need it to do considering the cost of $129. Considering the reputation of Marshall, it is a disappointment.UPDATE: I'm not sure why, but after ~12 hours of play time, the audio quality seems to have improved noticeably. The mid-low range muddiness has diminished and piano sounds much better. I'm changing it from 2 to 4 stars. If it didn't have the Bluetooth problem, I would have given it 5.

I bought this speaker after staying at a hotel with it in the room. Coming from a family of musicians I loved the look of it. It was plugged into a record player, which sounded amazing. I connected it to my iPhone as well. The Bluetooth was flawless and the sound was great.I’ve listened to everything from hip hop to indie rock to country with this speaker. It all sounds fantastic. The ability to adjust bass and treble makes it suitable for almost anything. It gets loud and handles it like a champ. Hardly any distortion.In addition to this, I also have a Bose Soundock Mini. This sounds much better in my opinion but the Bose is much more portable so it still gets used quite a bit.If you have a place to put this speaker where it doesn’t need to move a lot you will be pleasently surprised.

Bought this thing for our cabin in the mountains, and it has been serving us well so far. I have been a fan of Marshall products for decades, and have owned several Marshall guitar amplifiers. This is not one of those, but since they put the Marshall name on it, I expected some good thick tone. It does not disappoint. Easy to use, and sounds really good, with rich mids and bass, and plenty of spectrum adjustment using the surprisingly simple controls. I'd recommend it. For the price, you might find something different or better, but at just under $200, I have been happy with the purchase. It won't melt your face off with volume, but the for a small box, it's quite nice, and fills a big room (and then some) with great sound.

I like the sound good bass.But unlike a real Marshall that sounds better as it gets louder.It tends to break up at loud volumes.Also I dont know if it's me or what but I swear at loud volumes I thought i heard a drop in volume for a minute then after picking it up and moving it as it landed on its feet the volume jumped back up........

I first encountered this speaker at a festive function and could not believe the sound it delivered in the decent-sized space in which the function was held. That is what got me to order it when, this time, I was in charge of organizing a pre-wedding party for my daughter. I can declare that this is one of the best purchases I have ever made. Aside from the awesome performance at the wedding event, I now have it by my bedside, where it faithfully delivers my nightly lullaby in full fidelity at low volume.

Have been using it for more than 2 weeks now, great speaker, not only because of the sound quality, but also because of its looks!, perfect addition for a study, office, living room. I didn't order the portable version since I plan to buy something really portable and water proof (pool, camping etc)... this is a fixed unit that you rarely will want to move, once it was installed in my living room, we turned the tv off and just enjoy music and conversation, great addition to the family!

I really like this speaker. I own 2 other bluetooth speakers that I use as portable speakers, and I wanted a speaker for home use only. I found this one and decided to try it. this speaker really sounds great. deep bass, clear mids, and crisp highs. it's by far my favorite bluetooth speaker, and one of the best i've ever heard. also love the genuine Marshall look. it reminds me of the days in the 70's and 80's, when the guitar player in bands i played in were using Marshall stacks. five stars!

It's compact yet pleasingly heavy. It has a rich, robust sound that fills a large room. Its Bluetooth connectivity is a bit finicky about pairing, but once a device is connected there are no continuity issues [Edit: This may have had more to do with my devices - it's a year later and I haven't had this issue lately]. It also keeps "playing" the source even when there's no sound, so it doesn't ever drop a millisecond of sound turning itself back on when playing an audiobook or something, as many other wireless speakers do. Most of all it looks like a million bucks and classes up any nook it finds. The tuning knobs are as pleasant to twist as they are to behold, and even the on-off switch is just like what you'd find on a guitar amp. I love it. Excellent bang for very few bucks.*Edit two years after purchase: I still love this speaker so much. It's honestly one of the favourite things I own.

Great little speaker for the bluetooth fans. Great sound, bass/treble adjustments, great looks and quality. It's heavier than I expected and not build for portability. Probably best suited for small or medium size home.
