Every studio or small kitchen apartment needs one of these.
It frees up a bunch of counter space and encourages doing 3the dishes as you use them. Easy install, sturdy. What I dont like:This drainer attaches to a rack hanger which is attached to the wall with screws. The system works nicely but the rack hanger is not very attractive or disguised when the rack is not hanging on it. But I haven't removed the rack for any purpose other than to clean it so I guess it doesn't really matter to me.There should be a cross bar under the rack to prevent skinny items from falling through. Works fine for dishes but for items like skinny cheese graters or small cutting boards, they go right through the rack and rest on the drain pan. A cross bar or small ridges on the rack for item put in crosswise would have made this easier to use.

Does not attach to the wall; Water collects & attracts flies
So I hope I'm not going to be one of those people that people are going to look at my review and say "well, if you had read ... and ... you'd have known...."But I really thought I looked all over before ordering this that attached to the wall, and could be used either with Ikea's systems or alone. Guess not. Then I really tried to find some way to integrate it into my kitchen anyway. No go. The thing is fricking huge and just ungangly. Even if it had attached to the wall I'm not sure it would have worked. It just creates dead space. Bane of a micro kitchen.Date: 4/9/17I have moved apartments & this thing sucks even more.It literally takes up half my counter space. If I had a second one & set them next to each other there'd barely be an inch left around. For a "small" dishdrainer, it's huge in a truly small kitchen. And the drain pan sucks too. It just pools water. When I was having a war with fruit flies, they would be attracted to the water & I'd have a bunch of bugs floating there. So now I don't use this dish drainer as one to put my washed dishes & then let them air dry. I just use it as a "place holder" until I finish washing & then dry by hand. It's also ungainly to try to store. Why do I still have it? Because moving 3x in my area you don't throw out things just blithely replace.

Great if you don't have many dishes
Doesn't have a drain pan, just a pan that catches the water. Great if you don't have many dishes, but I do, and drainage is a must.
