The media could not be loaded. [See video for an update.] Aside from the box in which these were shipped, which was ridiculously flimsy, these were perfect for me! Be sure this is what you're looking for before you buy. As is clearly stated, these are too long for regular pickup trucks, etc. However, they are super-easy to cut down to about any size you may need. I used a saws-all to trim mine down 9 inches in order to be perfect for what I needed. But they could be much shorter. Just use an Allen wrench to remove the ratcheting mechanism, cut pipe with a hacksaw or whatever (I used a Sawzall). Replace the mechanism and viola! Perfect! Liked em so much I bought more! I haven't used them a whole lot yet, but they appear very sturdy and overbuilt. Another factor in which to be aware, the ratchet notches are about 1/4-3/8inch apart. So if you need to "fine-tune" the amount of pressure, that could be a problem. I'm very happy and love em![UPDATE: see video] After my review, I found that one of the 4 bars wouldn't retract correctly. I figured out a hack to retract the bar using my finger to manually release it on each stroke of the handle. I'll update with how customer service handles the problem. But still very happy with the product!

Very sturdy and easy to use

These were promptly shipped to my PO Office who left a "we'll attempt to make a delivery when you are home" note. I was home - no effort was made to deliver the box initially. I let the PO Office know under no certain terms I did not appreciate being told a lie initially. The next morning a not so happy post office employee delivered my package wrapped in about 30 layers of clear food wrap. No padding or bubble wrap but then again, I don't think a steel "tool" needs wrapped in bubble wrap or foam rubber. They work as expected and are holding up very well. I am happy with the product. They could easily rupture the side of a semi trailer I have no doubt. Good product - Thank You!

They were junk,used them on one load. They failed.

Bought these on October 15, 2020, one didn't work very well after one week of use. The other one failed after only a month. They didn't like to retract new, and now the handle is just frozen and will neither retract or extend. Very unhappy with them. Unable to get a refund for them. What ever you do, do not buy these load locks. They are complete garbage. I had great hopes for them when they arrived for they felt nice and sturdy. The bars are heavy duty, but the ratchet is junk. Zero stars for these bars.

Pole bent too easily.

These work just as I expected. Use them to secure large heavy cargo from moving inside my utility trailer. Simple ratchet design that is quick and easy to set.
