I purchased 2 leashes for my son. He is a professional dog trainer & requested this particular leash for training his client’s dogs. They are made well & good value.

We have a lab/dachshund mix so he's both energetic and stubborn. He thinks he is the boss on walks and my shoulder was really taking a hit, plus he's a shelter dog and pretty reactive. Our trainer recommended this leash/gentle leader and it has made such a difference. He no longer pulls (much) nor does he often try to chase cars or lunge at things. We still need to keep him under control with his triggers but for everyday walks he's almost a different dog entirely. We could hold his lead by a single finger if we felt it was safe, that's how much of a difference this makes. It makes your dog decide how much he really wants to engage in that behavior and usually it's not worth the pressure. It also helps redirect his head and therefore his attention. The only problem is that he doesn’t much like having it put on. We typically loosen it, loop the nose and head halters together, and go full rodeo on him, then adjust the rubber stopper. Also the lead itself is sturdy - my dog has tested it multiple times with his teeth and it is still sound.

Excellent quality but too heavy for dog show lead I order the light weight lead I'll do another review when it arrives! My dogs are 60LB Australian Shepherds.

This slip lead was recommended to me by our dog trainer for our 5 month old puppy who was pulling like crazy. This lead is well made, and with the proper training techniques, he now walks with a loose lead, no pulling. We're very happy with this purchase

I do not recommend this for a smaller dog, bigger dog yes but not for a frenchie size or smaller. The rope is too stiff and my little frenchie is not comfortable. I ended up not using it and got me a different one (by a famous dog whisperer) which is more flexible and not stiff. I liked the eyelet and the locking system though.

I’m a dog trainer and I not only use this leash, I recommended to all my clients! The climber rope they use is very strong, and the hardware is also very robust.If you have a dog that is pulling a lot and you’re using a harness or conventional collar, I suggest trying this slip lead! If you decide to try this slip lead, I recommend going on YouTube to see the correct way to put it on the Dog as there is a correct and incorrect way. I hope this helps.
