You don't need to speak French to use this book.
This has a good number of needlework patterns in repeats for backgrounds or all over design for covering ottomans, footstools and chair seats. Each very large example shows the pattern half done and half printed on the canvas. The best part is the threads used are sampled in the bottom left corner. There is also a list in both DMC and Anchor. While the book is in French, you really don't need to speak French to use the patterns.There is an instruction section in the front and if you were really interested you could use google translate on your phone or other device to translate it for you. If you know needlepoint, that isn't really necessary.This is a lovely book to add to my needlepoint library. I would recommend getting it as long as the price wasn't too outrageous.

Great "Go To" pattern book
Love the book! A great reference resource for patterns that I know will be very useful in planning future projects. I was not bothered by the only French text- I have rudimentary fluency left over from high school but the pictures would be easy to follow for an experienced needlepointer.

beaucoup d'idées sur le canevas
pour celles et ceux qui aime refaire leurs intérieurs dans un style ancien vous trouverez dedans des gabarits de canevas antiques pour faire des coussins, des galettes de chaises ou encore un repose pied et j'en passe ; je le recommande au professionnels de l'ameublements je suis sur que les modèle proposer peuvent bien se vendre.
