Ultimate Black Plastic Restorer

I used Meguiar’s Ultimate Black on my families vehicles and it made a massive difference. All of them had plastic trim that had faded to a chalky look, but this brought back the shiny black look pretty much instantly. It also adds UV protection which hopefully will extend the life of the plastic trim. It's also pretty nice using it on the interior trim to hopefully help prevent the dash from cracking as it gets older. The best part is that it isn't sticky or greasy. It dries quickly and doesn't just wash right off the exterior trim after a few car washes unlike other products I've tried that only lasted a few minutes. Just a quick heads-up on the really faded trim pieces, I had to do two coats to get it to apply better. It also smells pretty good too. I just used a microfiber cloth to rub it in and it worked perfectly. It’s a super easy way to make an older car look almost brand new :)

I purchased a used Dewalt Black Chrome 184-piece tool set off eBay at all really great price. The tools are in great condition - the case, however, was really dirty as use can see in the attached photos. I did a bit of research and landed on the Meguiar's plastic restorer. I was truly impressed. It restored the case nicely, granted not perfect, but far nicer than the condition it arrived in. Take a look at the photos for yourself. I am very pleased with the results. The process was super simple. I thoroughly washed the outside of the case with soap and water. It cleaned up well, but was still very dull and cloudy white. I allowed it to dry fully and then applied the Meguiar's restorer. It worked great! Also, the description of the product is/was accurate relative to it leaving no sticky residue or strong smell. Slight scent, but pleasant and easily bearable. And last, due to my slight OCD, I'm going to repaint the gold Dewalt logo on the front of the case, too. That should complete the process. Definitely five out of five stars!

Conditioned external plastic on a 2000 Jeep TJ. It had NEVER been conditioned!! I think the product is good, but I needed to apply two heavy coats, and there’s probably a third to be done. The plastic “inhaled” the cream and lotsa rubbing. It finally looked good, but still absorbing. I like the results and found myself applying it on anything black that looked faded. It seemed to work good!! I think it will be part of the routine cleanup process. Wash it, dry it, apply Mcguires!! When the plastic has responded, it’s really pretty quick!! Good product, I like it.

Great product that truly restores your car’s look! This is my second time purchasing this product, and for good reason. It keeps the black trims on my car looking like they just rolled out of the factory, deep, rich, and clean. The finish lasts much longer than other products I’ve tried, even after several washes. The only reason I didn’t give it five stars is the container design, it can be a bit tricky to dispense without making a mess, as it occasionally splashes out more than expected. Aside from that, it’s a fantastic product that delivers excellent results and is well worth the purchase.

I thought it didn’t work in the beginning but after u let it soaked in, it brought my car back to life! Highly recommend. The example on the bottle is exactly what u get.

I tried the Meguiar's Ultimate Black Plastic Restorer, and I’d say it works, but it isn’t perfect. Right after applying it, my car’s faded trim looked noticeably darker and newer, which gave it a nice refreshed appearance. The application itself was very straightforward, and I liked that the finish didn’t look greasy or overly shiny like some other products I’ve used in the past. For a quick improvement, it definitely does the job. The issue I ran into is that the results don’t seem to last very long. Even though it claims to provide long lasting UV protection, I noticed the black finish starting to fade again pretty quickly after a few days of sun exposure and rain. I found myself needing to reapply it more often than I would like, and that can get frustrating if you’re expecting a product that holds up better in different weather conditions. Overall, I’d give it 3 stars. It’s good if you just want your trim to look better temporarily, like before a car show, a sale, or even just for your own satisfaction. But if you’re looking for something that will keep your trim black and protected for weeks on end without reapplication, this might not meet your expectations.

If you have fainted black plastic on your car and you’re looking for something that actually works, this is it! It was almost instant results and it’s literally a night and day difference.

I use this in my detailing routine and it works brilliantly. It brings faded plastics back to a deep, rich black without leaving greasy residue. The finish lasts for weeks, even through rain and washing. Definitely one of the best plastic restorers I’ve tried — a staple in my kit.
