The 12-volt / 10-amp port and cigarette lighter accessory is useless.
The 12-volt / 10-amp port does not stay active for more than 1 min even when a full 1-amp draw is on the port. This fact makes the device useless for powering 12-volt accessories. There is no mechanism to strictly turn the battery power on with this device. The 12-volt port will be enabled momentarily after pressing the power button, but it will not stay powered. There is no specification in the description or provided documentation that indicates a minimum draw on this port to maintain power. However, attempting to charge my ASUS Chromebook (C202) which pulls 1.25 amp at 12-volt will not keep the port enabled. Construction and packaging seem very nice so I gave the product 3 stars as everything technically functions.[Edit]This company has worked vary hard to correct this issue. Giving them an extra star for good customer service.[Edit 2]Full Disclosure from the Seller has been added as a comment. The product is meant only as a battery booster and will not function as an auxiliary power source for your toys. As a booster it works as expected.

Warranty? Review? Update
I have previously written a review complaining about the warranty. The Amazon page said the jumper had a 3 year warranty, but the card that came with the item said the warranty was only for 90 days.Since then I have received an email from Autown saying I had won a $20 coupon, and that all I had to do to qualify was to write a review of the item and send them a copy to verify that I had done it. They requested that I NOT mention the coupon or the $20, supposedly because they didn't want other people requesting it.This feels to me like a subtle way for them to recruit a (hopefully) positive review. I am not sure of the "ethics" of paying for a review, but for me personally it doesn't pass the "smell test". Combined with the confusion on the warranty, I know that I will not be ordering anything more from them.

I love the awesome product
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. If my car didn’t have a battery issue, I will not buy a car jump starter since my insurance covers free jump start assistant. Two month ago, my car couldn’t start due to battery issue. I borrowed a jump starter from my friend and started my car in few seconds. At the beginning, I thought my car battery was good (less than 4 years). Both Battery plus and Subaru dealer thought the battery should be good after test. However, my car battery was drained out in one night. I had to restart the car with this car jumper. I am very amazed by what this thing can do. Finally, Subaru dealer replaced battery and fixed the battery issue. I realized that I need a car starter in a car to avoid battery issue happening again. I bought the same model as my friend.I have been using it to charge ipad, iphone and laptop. Beside charge, I also like the unit has a flashlight and SOS blinking for safety in darker conditions. This product is compact and lightweight. It even can fit into your pocket.Overall quality and the design of this jump starter is outstanding. The product is very easy to use even you don’t need to read any instruction. If you are looking to buy one, this should be one of your top choices. I hope my review was able to help you make a wise decision.

Handy Tool to have
I've got a few minor quibbles: The instruction manual didn't explain very well the range of things this nifty, little gizmo can do; I had to question a mechanic friend of mine to see if I could use it in the way I wanted to. They could do a better job with the manual. I'd also like to see a 'Customer Help Line'...some way to ask how to use this jump starter--and how not to use it. And I DO NOT mean a list of FAQ, which never seem to cover the exact question I have, and you can spend hours looking through lists of questions. I mean an actual person to whom you can direct a specific question/problem. Also, the ends of the cord that connect the unit to your cigarette lighter are slightly oversized: you have to REALLY push on them to get them into the socket. I'm worried that I'll break the socket; everything's made of flimsy plastic, these days. And the little yellow 'Charging In Progress' light should come on whenever the unit is receiving a charge--110 VAC or 12 VDC--otherwise, how are you supposed to know when you have achieved a proper connection? Those minor issues aside, I've found that this Jump Starter solves the problems I hoped it would, when I bought it. Go ahead and buy one; they work good, once you figure out how to use it.I think anyone with a car should have this device, everyone must at least once in their life have problems with the power source of the car. At this point you will see this is a smart choice

Never know you need it until you wish you had it.
I was in the market for a portable battery that can charge my devices while we go hiking and camping. I figure having the option to jump start your car in the middle of no where would be nice so I purchase this. I just picked up my daughter from school and another parent's car won't start. She asked if I had a jumper cable to help her out. I went to get my jumper cable, but her car was parked between two other vehicles and my jumper cable couldn't reach her battery. I was going to put her car in neutral and push it out so I can reach the battery. Then it dawned on me that I have this Power Banker Jump Pack stashed in the glove compartment. I hooked it up and the car started. I didn't even charge the battery up beforehand. Sometimes in life, you never know what you need until you wish you had it.
