Bluetooth Media Streaming in your BlueandMe Fiat 500? YES!
After years of suffering the impatient blue-and-me lady, and her USB port and IPods which no longer work with it etc , I had all but given up with listening to anything in our 2009 fiat 500 that wasnt the radio or a CD.Saw this dongle, and gave it a go - it works! Simple as that. Perfect!- Get some radio keys on amazon: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B079J5D55W/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1- make sure the ignition is off, and the radio is off (no need to disconnect battery)- remove the 4 front plugs from the radio panel to get the keys in to remove it (google 'fiat 500 remove head unit') and slide out the radio just far enough to access the rear ports. you want the top outside port on the passenger side of the car.- remove the radio keys- on our 2009 lounge this port also shown in the instruction leaflet is actually occupied by the blue-and-me connector (black) but if you look carefully its only using 3 wires at the opposite end. - disconnect that top connector, gently cut off the unused bit of connector that isnt used that is taking up the CD port- (photo shows the bit i cut off) - i just cut off the last connector that was the same size as the one on the bluetooth dongle- plug in the remains of blue-and-me plug again - you should now be able to connect the dongle to the port on the outside top edge of the head unit - gently slide the dongle down the back of the dash on the left with the other wires making sure not to squash it with the radio - turn on the head unit to test it. - press 'CD' - display says 'CD CHANGER' - search on your phone for the BlueMusic device and connect to it - if you dont find it, press '>' on the head-unit (e.g next track)- had to also press '>' to start hearing the songs as well. head unit shows 'CD 1 T01' etc etc - click the radio back into place

It works!
Totally impressed with this. It does exactly what it's supposed to & was a doddle to fit. ( 10 mins ) Even the steering wheel controls & my Parrot h/free function as before. I am now able to stream my music & hear the instructions from my phone's sat nav without the costs of buying an ugly after market stereo or filling my cabin space with more chargers & leads. cannot recommend this solution/product strongly enough

Easy to fit and works well playing music off iPhone.
I received the module in good time and was pleased to see it came with the stereo removal keys. It was very easy to fit in my Alfa Romeo 147 and the whole job took less than 3 minutes from removing the stereo, connecting the module, Bluetooth pairing & testing, and refitting stereo. Once connected, pairing with my phone took no longer than 5 seconds. It sounds great although a bit on the quiet side. I normally listen to the radio or CD at around level 10, but had to turn the iPhone volume all the way up, and the set the stereo volume level up to at least 20 for the same volume level (just remember to turn the volume down on the stereo before changing the source back to radio or CD, or it will defen you).So why only 2 stars? Well having to adjust the volume on the stereo and on my phone is a bit of a pain, especially when you go to bed and want to watch a quick YouTube video on your phone only to have it blast out at you full volume if you forgot to turn it down when you left the car.But something else I’m not happy about is that if I use my iPhones Siri voice assistant, the voice response WILL NOT play through the module/car speakers. This was one of the reasons I bought this as the description says you can play any sound (not phone calls) through this module, and I’ve had it work with other car stereos with built in Bluetooth and stand alone Bluetooth speakers. Fair enough you can’t use the phone calling function through this module, but I would have thought Siri would have worked through it and hear the responses through the car speakers rather than the phone speaker. One other thing to mention. It says in the description that this module can be used alongside a hands free Bluetooth device. This is not true, well at least not true in my case. Tried to pair my iPhone 7 Plus (with iOS 13 installed) with this module and a “BlueAnt commute” hands free car kit. Either one of two things happened, either the music stopped streaming through the module/car stereo and started to stream through the BlueAnt hands free kit, of the music kept streaming through the module/stereo and caused the hands free kit to keep connecting and then straight away disconnecting. Very frustrating as again, this was one of the reasons I bought this module. Now considering to send it back for a refund and buy something else that works as advertised. So, yes it’s very quick and easy to connect, it has good quality sound (all be it a little on the quiet side), and the steering wheel controls work with it. So if you’re not fussed about using voice assistance like Siri responding through the car stereo speakers, or want to take a chance that this MIGHT work with your Bluetooth hands free kit (if you use one), then yes, this is worth getting to play your entertainment content from your Bluetooth device.Time will tell how long and we’ll this module will hold up, but no issues with it so far with the cars engine off or running like some people have mentioned, and connects every time to my phone. A basic bit of kit with limited functionality which works okay if you only want to stream music etc, but well over priced for what it is.

Works perfectly in my 2011 giulietta
Just fitted this in my 2011 alpha romeo giulietta that doesn't have an aux port and it works perfectly alongside the blue&me (can still make and receive calls at same time) , I can stream my music seamlessly and still use the staring wheel controls to change tracks, only downside is it doesn't display the track titles as uses the cd changer connection but that's no hassle at all, really pleased with this and far cheaper than fitting a new stereo, overall very happy

Great customer service, solid product
Hello,I received this back at the start of December and installed it soon after receiving it. It is a relatively easy install (I have an alfa romeo 159 2010 with a standard radio system) using the "keys" that come with the device. After installing, definitely check it connects to you phone and comes up as a cd changer on your radio system. Mine didn't come up as a cd changer so I contacted the seller and they asked me to disconnect all power cables etc for 5 mins and then retry but this didn't fix the issue. They then sent me a replacement and I installed it no problem and it works a dream. Cant fault it and great it works with all the existing systems (blue&me, etc).Great customer service as well from the seller so I couldn't recommend this enough.
