OK
I was looking for inexpensive watch and I guess I got it. It dont scream luxury or anything like that, glass is not near as clear as some of the nicer watches that i have, but the strap is nice and thick. Over all I dont really like it, but it's going to be my boot watch. Paid $375Ok, I think I figured out why I felt that the glass did not look clear, Not all Hamilton watches have non-reflective coating. So it makes it look like a less expensive watch. Also, the Seconds hand doesn't aligns perfectly to the divisions on the face, so it moves slightly off center from the divisions.

Go with the mechanical instead.
I've always been a mechanical watch guy, so buying this (Quartz) movement was a decision I didn't make lightly. I'm old school, and feel you should not have to depend on a battery to keep your watch running properly. You never know when the battery will fail, unless you change them on a preemptive basis which seems like a lot of work and a lot of dead batteries if you collect. The price on this Quartz model was significantly less than the mechanical version, and I really liked the look too, so I bought it. I've now owned it for 2 years and it's been a great watch. That is, until today. I have 4 or 5 watches in my daily wear rotation, and 4 or 5 more, including this watch, that I rotate in and out of that rotation. So, today I went to put it on today after not wearing for a couple of months and what do you know? Dead battery! It took me a few twists of the crown, to remember that it was battery powered. Not a big deal, but a reminder of why I prefer mechanical/automatic movements over quartz. Now, what size battery do I need?

Good quality pilot style watch...
Hamilton is a well known Swiss brand, but one that's affordable. I have been buying watches of all kinds for forty years, and had wanted one of these for a few years and finally got one. Not too thin, not to thick. The band is nice soft leather, yet thick. The rivets are brushed metal to play off the brushed metal of the case. However the bezel is polished, so it's a nice combo of the two. Has the usual H shaped buckle pin, marked Hamilton as well. If you like the pilot style watch, you will like this watch. The crystal has a nice shine to it. A couple pushers on the right to adjust the sub dials on the face. A previous reviewer seemed to think this wasn't a quality watch, but it is. However I bought mine elsewhere for more than $50 less than Amazon. It pays to shop around. I recommend this watch to those who likes the pilot style watch, and the Hamilton name.
