Delivers shocks to the maximum... pushes the limits of acceptability! The 70s drive-in retrospect continues with 2 more Houses of Hell! The box office opens at 7 o' clock. Our first feature LAST HOUSE ON MASSACRE STREET (1973) starts at dusk, followed by our main feature HOUSE ON THE EDGE OF THE PARK (1980). The slice of Italian exploitation starring David Hess (Last House on the Left) and directed by Ruggero Deodato (Cannibal Holocaust) is a cut above the rest. Watch in drive-in mode to enjoy the full nostalgic experience in shocking HD!Special Features:-Watch both films in Drive-In Theater Mode with ads the good old drive-in way!

Definitely worth checking out!
Mainly bought it for House on the Edge of the Park but I also ended up enjoying the other feature as well. HOTEOTP looks great in HD. The other is from a beaten print but it was fine, especially considering the presentation of this release. Highly recommended and I look forward to more releases from this line!

Great idea from Code Red video falls short
First of all, let me just say that Code Red did us a solid by adding a "Drive In Mode" to this double feature of drive in classics!...The mode enhances a drive in like experience that includes trailers and concession stand promos, which bring you back to the moments these 70's films were released!...So why only 3 stars?...Because one trailer was an obviously newer release, and because the transfers were VERY uneven....The bride transfer looked 40 + years old, while the other feature looked like it did in the 70's. So, i am glad I have this, but am curious as to if the others in this series have better continuity.I recommend this to any and all fans of the drive ins!

I'm pleased
I bought this primarily for House on the Edge of the Park the other film was just there. Anyway, I watched in the "drive-in" mode which shows Massacre Street first. I gave it a shot but only lasted 39 minutes before I had to turn it off and go right to House on the Edge. Massacre Street is awful, just completely boring. House on the Edge is a favorite film of mine and the BR transfer did not disappoint. It was clear, sharp and clean. Four stars because I'm so fond of House on the Edge. Massacre Street alone would be a zero it's that bad.

Great Replacement For The old HOUSE ON THE EDGE OF THE PARK DVD
Looks better than the old DVD version. Pretty violent film where David Hess revisits his LAST HOUSE ON THE LEFT persona. LAST HOUSE ON MASSACRE STREET. was a nice addition to HOUSE OF THE EDGE OF THE PARK. If you like violent Italian movies (and have seen) HOTEOTP it's worth picking up

A mish mash and mostly ok "drive-in" Experience
The films are awesome. The "Drive-in" experience is a bit odd. Period bumpers are accompanied by a single trailer for a film that would never have played in the drive-in as it is too contemporary. Mostly fun. Would have been better if the trailer (more than one would be nice... they're free) was from the same period as the films themselves. The movies look good, however, and that is really the point. Not expensive, so a good purchase.

Grindhouse Double Feature of Crazy Brides and David Hess!
I thoroughly enjoyed both of these movies. "Last House on Massacre Street" is one of those 70's movies that was given a grindhouse title combining "Last House on the Left" and "Texas Chainsaw Massacre." It's nothing like those movies the real title of the movie is actually "The Bride." It tells the story of a woman scorned by her husband on their wedding day. Throughout the rest of the movie she plays mind games with her husband and his mistress. It has fun cheesy 80's music and what I'd consider to be a really awesome twist ending. The transfer is very solid on this one. Then we get trailers one of them is for the film "Chaos" from 2005. Following that we get classic 70's drive in ads promoting fresh hot popcorn pizza burgers you name it. I enjoyed the intermission I felt it added to the feel of this double feature. And last but not certainly not least is the second feature Ruggiero Deodato's "House on the Edge of the Park" starring the late great David Hess (Last House on the Left"). The movie is an exploitation classic. The plot surrounds Hess and Giovanni Lamberto Radice going to party in this rich kids house and after the rich kids start toying with Radice, David Hess takes a switchblade in hand and continues to take the rest of the party into his own hands. This movie is sleazy but Hess shines bright here because he really is one of the great villainous character actors of all time. Once again the transfer here is very good and I think the movie really delivers the Exploitation element perfectly. If you like Grindhouse drive in double features this is the release for you. I hope Code Red continues to release these sets because I loved this one!
