This bag is fantastic. I work out side in all weathers and the water has stayed out. I also ride a motorcycle and the OB bag has not let me down on that too. Excellent value for money and I will definitely be buying again.

Probably the best waterproof rucksack I’ve come across, very sturdy in its construction and totally waterproof, went beyond my expectations. Yes there are cheaper alternatives that make similar claims about their ability to keep your gear dry, but cheap by name sometimes equals cheap by nature. I would highly recommend this product to anyone considering making a purchase.

I'm very pleased with this bag. I upgraded to the 30l bag from the 20l bag as it just was a bit too small for what I needed. I'm glad I did, this is just as good of a product, very spacious, and surprisingly comfortable. Anyone that does sports or commutes in the rain would do themselves a favor by getting one of these!

My old rucksack had become 'leaky' and I was always having to separately bag anything that I put in it. I wanted a backpack that I could forget about in a heavy storm and that would take, and protect, camera and binoculars and was prepared to pay more for something that would last. This Overboard Premium does all of that and comes with a 5 year guarantee too. Theres an optional 'tidy' to go inside, but it's fine as it is for my kit plus a heavy jacket. Recommended!

Here's the deal. I go out in extreme conditions alot. I've carried all kinds of bags, packs, satchels, etc. The problem with them all is water and dirt, dust, mud etc. The fact that the zippers and fabrics don't handle that stuff well. I purchased this after owning a Bill's bag for several years and loving it. This is a backpack version of a Bill's Bag. Now pay attention. This is a Bag that the top folds in on itself to seal out the water and dirt. It has one little pocket inside. It does not have multiple pockets or anything like that. The straps are well made and as comfortable as they could probably make it. I'm sure there are more comfortable packs to wear, but this one keeps your stuff dry and dust free. If you need a pack to throw in your UTV, jeep, car trunk or the back of your pickup, you'll love this. My wife liked mine so much I had to get her one. I really like my military style packs, but they don't keep my stuff DRY! This one does, plus if I need to carry it in a hotel with me I don't look like some kind of nut carrying a military pack. Oh, the string thing on the outside of the pack, useless. I guess it is supposed to look cool. I like this pack so much I'm going to get more for gifts.

Habe ihn bisher oft genutzt hauptsächlich zum SUPen aber auch zum Tauchen, Aponae Tauchen, Schnorcheln und Schwimmen. Bin bisher zufrieden. Gute Verarbeitung, hohe Haltbarkeit und Qualität. Außerdem ist es ein richtiger Rucksack. Bisher blieb auf dem Board wie auch beim Schnorcheln in der Ruhr Wasserdicht. Außerdem ist Material sehr haltbar und kann richt was ab durch viele SUPen merkt man das. This bag is AWESOME! I hiked the Na'apali Coast of Kauai with this beast. I actually had the smaller, yellow one (25L?). We camped for a week and if we didn't have another, larger REI backpack the 25L would've been too small. I bungeed my sleeping pad to the outside and hiked 12 miles in to the campground. It was slightly more uncomfortable to wear than a real hiking backpack. Here's what sold it for me: after a week we didn't want to hike back out, so we called to a passing boat and he motioned us to come aboard. Dudes! I threw this backpack, heavy with gear, over the shore-break then dove in after it. I swam out to the boat, pushing the floating backpack ahead of me through the water, and climbed aboard. I felt like a Hawaiian tribal hero. After the boat ride back to Hanalei I opened the backpack to find only a few drops of water inside, maybe spilled in when I opened it. I would estimate that I swam for less than 5 minutes.Recently my friend expressed that she wished she had brought this backpack instead of her normal backpack to Panama, where it rained the entire time. She trash-bagged the contents of her backpack and everything was fine, but the outside also got thrashed from branches, thorns, etc. This Overboard backpack is built with thick material (added weight) that looks like it could withstand a lot of land abuse as well.My only gripe is that it only has one, netted internal pocket. I love organizer pockets.

Took this backpack to Disney (been caught in downpours before..). Everything inside the pack kept completely dry. The pack is pretty sturdy / well constructed. The back panel is padded and comfortable - but would get rather hot in warn weather (went to Disney at xmas, which was fine). The straps / webbing tops are wide enough to be comfortable, but the bottoms seemed a little thin (i.e. don't put anything too heavy into the pack or you'll feel the strap difference quickly). The top and front/middle panels are quite water repellant and dry quickly (not so much the webbing, back, and side panels. This means that you should ensure whatever raingear you're wearing is water repellant and keeps cold mosture away. Used it as a daypack, but even then I'm glad I got the larger size; I was barely able to fit all the kids raingear, my jacket, let alone carry other gear. It may sound like I'm complaining - I'm not. I really do like the pack, but you have to know what you're getting it and using it for. Color-wise, it's just as pictured. Would I get it again? As a waterproof light-gear daypack, yes. Maybe in Yellow, though.

Great Pack. I needed water proof. I thought I would not like the big "bottomless" compartment, but with ditty bags I can find anything I want in there. I love that you can put big things in there too. Sometimes I wish it had an outside compartment for quick storage. The "netting" storage on the back is marginally useful, so far good for a towel or a shirt. I think actual netting would improve it.
