Please, Baby, Please

We took this book from a library. My 2 year old loved this book. As she could relate her doings daily with the little girl on the book. We have re read it many times. Recommended for toddlers.

I got this book when my daughter was 2y.o and it seemed a bit boring. Although I found the illustrations gorgeous and the story sweet , the rhymes didn't seem to entertain her . She actually wanted to know why was baby acting so silly ! She is 4 now and has just begun reading at school and this book has come to life now. It is very easy for new readers , as the text has very easy words and the line "Please , baby, please " is perfect for her to " have a break " from the words she has to put more effort to read. She does not find the baby silly anymore , she finds it funny and can relate to the new baby arriving in the family . As a big sister , she will never let baby do all that ! :o)

Didn't like the fact that there was a bare bottom in the book, even though it was a drawing. Why do people who publishing companies think this is OK for kids? Other than that, the book was fine.

My daughter loves this book, she is 20 months now and always chooses it before bedtime. The character in the book looks like her slightly, and certainly behaves like her, so I feel she is able to relate to the story.It has very simple verses on each page which is great for the younger children, furthermore, the illustrations are detailed and show scenes that we often see are own toddlers going through in everyday life.

This is great book with wonderful illustrations which I'm sure many parents will relate too. There isn't much of a story but both myself and my little girl enjoy taking on the roles of mother and daughter as we read the book together. When I ask my toddler to do something she sometimes chuckles and says 'please baby please!'

I've been reading this book every day since I bought it to my son. He has so many books but he just loves this one. I wish I had this when I was growing up to see characters that I could relate to. A must have for any black child!!
