solid product, could be better
While the computer itself is powerful, has great battery, and a great display, the key travel is a bit odd causing it to occasionally miss keystrokes. Once you get used to it it is not really an issue, but it happens occasionally. Also the built in software is a bit annoying and messes with random settings like your powerplan (which on battery is so aggressive by default that basic tasks take forever to load). The trackpad isn't amazing either, but easily usable. Overall a really strong product, but it definitely has its flaws.

Laptop is wonderful, slight freezing issues but they seem to have fixed themselves. My only main issue is the trackpad is lackluster for the price paid. Keyboard feels great and responsive, however the default lighting doesn't seem to work(wave mode). Other than that, it's a wonderful laptop.

Lovely, when plugged (Am I doing somthing wrong here?)
I love this laptop... but only when connected to the charger. I thought this pc would be ready to use, but the truth is that I had to configure some stuff like audio, trackpad (twice because it deleted all my settings after a windows update). The only thing that is keeping me kinda mad at it is that I haven't successfully configured my power options yet. When the laptop is running on battery drops the performance more than 50%, which ends up having a really slow laptop even for web browsing. Though, when plugged to the power, it's wonderful. I mostly do video editing and transcoding several RAW clips and this laptop just cracks my previous desktop which wasn't that bad.For now only 3 stars until I get it to work the way I want

Thin and light
This laptop is very lightweight and thin considering the components inside it. I use this computer daily and it replaced a Carbon X1, primarily for additional performance. I'm capable of running multiple virtual machiense at once, even with graphical effects turned on. I really enjoy this since I like to use Linux desktops in full screen mode, with all effects enabled. This allows me to leave the Windows OS almost untouched and only used for playing games on the weekend.Speaking of games, this thing is a beast even compared to many heavier laptops. Considering it's overall weight / size you can't go wrong with this laptop. Aesthetically it's also very pleasing compared to other similar Asus models. The only con I have right now is some random Windows OS crashes when booting up / resuming from sleep. I'm going to try a clean install to see if it's related to software or not.I would but this again.

I'll be doing heavy photowork and gaming so this is the perfect balance of size and power
Just ordered this beauty. Will update the review as soon as I get my hands on it, but this is the only laptop right now that meets my needs as a gamer, an IT professional, and a photographer. I've spend countless days, and hours researching whats out there now and the gaming laptops with comparable hardware specifications have huge form factors, low battery life (some even drain battery when plugged in), and run at absurd temps (which makes me question their longevity). The design on this is particular model is slick and the port selection is optimal (and modern) for my needs. The screen alone and the external monitor support was a huge reason for me to bite the bullet and buy this. Not to mention a NVIDIA 1070 to boot. I mean look , read the feature list and decide for yourself. There isn't much competition, and while it may seem pricey IMO it's worth every penny. On paper this thing blows mac book pro out of the water. I'll be doing heavy photowork and gaming so this is the perfect balance of size and power.
