Part of a sweet basket for 60 th Birthday
Brought as part of a birthday present . For a 60th birthday. Brought all the retro sweets my remembered as a child and made a sweet basket for her. She reckons they tasted as good as she remembered as a child so they were a success

Just like it was in the old days !
It is literally as I used to remember from the old days, very hard and firm……..involves attempting to try and softening it without much success…………..just keep moving it around in your mouth and eventually it will soften but not completely………one piece can keep you going all night and hopefully no long term probs with your teeth.

Hard and brittle; difficult to eat.
Too brittle. Liquorice should be pliable and chewable. Had to chop it up with kitchen scissors to make it edible. I had no idea anyone made liquorice like this, I've eaten it all my life, and I'm nearly 80.
