Much needed book!
This book is amazing! I would highly recommend for anyone in a serious accident causing PTSD and/anxiety.

Not just for auto accidents
This was recommended to me by a therapist for my anxiety, due to a -past car accident and my husbands PTSD. I read it, but was very pessimistic because my anxiety was severe. Before I knew it, I was getting better. Most of my anxiety was from my husband, so I didn't think it would work. I felt like I had PTSD, I didn't. It took practice and time, but I rarely have a panic attack anymore. I can drive as a passenger again. Thank you.

i bought this book for a patient who was having a difficult time working through an accident a year earlier. i've since given or loaned this book out to nearly a dozen others. ms. heller helps the reader feel, well, not alone. he makes all those things we feel as strange to be seen as normal reactions to a non-normal, trauma. he brings the reader in, writing clearly and effectively motivating us, encouraging us to work on ourselves and begin facing life and our fears. it is written very practically offering many excellent, well-founded, effective solutions. absolutely worth the price and probably more!

Highly recommend
This book came HIGHLY recommended to me after a bad accident that literally could have resulted in my demise.Yes the accident left me with major trauma. The person who recommended it had had it recommended to them bya psychologist and found it very effective. Mine came today and not even part way through the forward I already feltthrilled that someone (the authors) understood what I was going through. Wonderful! Have already shared it with othersthat need it.

Good read not helpful
This book did not help me get back driving. It was full of sad stories and many points I could relate to but did not help me in anyway.

Definitely recommended.
This book was indispensable for me when I was dealing with residual anxiety from a car accident. It's been years since the accident. If someone had told me back then that I'd ever be able to drive with complete confidence again, I wouldn't have believed them. But that is, in fact, the case! Very helpful book. Definitely recommended.

Helped me to feel more comfortable driving again
This book is really helping me to heal. It has literally made me feel a thousand times better getting back behind the wheel after being rear-ended on the highway. Depending on your own personal situation, it may take you awhile to get through the book because it really does help you process through the emotions after a wreck.

Extremely useful
If you are in an accident, you need all the resources you can lay your hands on. The book can be read right away or over time to help heal. It's strange that we don't talk about the journey to recovery after a car crash, luckily this author does. R. Williams, coauthor of The Mindfulness Workbook for Addiction.

Bei flottem, praxisnahem Anspruch leider langatmig, umständlich geschrieben. Ich habe die angebliche Wundermethode geübt ohne Resultat. Nicht vergleichbar mit den knappen, präzisen Anweisungen von Levine oder Kinslow, die sofort Wirkung zeigen. (ebenfalls bei Amazon)

Journey worth the tears
As you slowly navigate through the exercises; it's comforting to know that someone gets you and you're not alone. With an ABi; it's big words and simply language combined with the emphasis on pacing makes this book a true valued journey
