This diverter works great for my Instant Pot Duo Nova
I've only tried this on the IP Duo Nova, which doesn't have to worry about a handle on the steam release valve, and it's worked very well. The cannon design is cute without being too stylized. Just pop it on just before hitting the quick release button, aim, and fire!Because of the valve on the Duo Nova free-spinning, you can turn it any direction you want with ease. Note that when you put it on the valve, the valve may spit steam briefly, my girlfriend jumps when this happens and tries to go slowly which makes it more likely, so just press it on confidently and it'll be less startling.Unlike another diverter design which popped right off when the steam hit it, this silicone diverter fits snugly on the Duo Nova's steam release valve. Removing it sometimes takes the steam release valve with it since that part is made to be removed, but angling it as you take it off usually keeps the vent on the IP.Cleaning it is either running water through or putting it through the dishwasher, or just let it air dry with both ends open to the air.

Good redirector
This diverter is good at getting the steam away from the Instant Pot. My only complaint is that it points to the back of the pot. If it's under the counter it points towards the back. I still need to turn the pot 180 degrees around so the steam will point away from the above cabinets.

Does the job BUT...there's no adjusting the direction of the steam
This is a nice, well-made and kindof cute steam diverter for your Instant Pot. But take note: the direction it diverts steam cannot be adjusted. So it will only point steam towards the back. Unfortunately this is right under my cabinets where I don't want it, unless I turn the pot around, and then the controls are facing the back. Not convenient for me.It seems very heavy and nively made, is easy to put on, easy to clean, easy to use, but it would be more useful if you were able to adjust the direction of the steam according to your needs. You can't with this one.

Great idea but will not stay in place while preforming its purpose.
This was a great idea. However I am not 100% sure it was made for the Ninja Foodie or I am just an idiot. Pretty sure the later is true even before this product. It fits the release valve for pressure cooking but...it blows off everytime.Again, it is sold as a product for the Ninja, but it just doesn't seem to sit correctly. For the few seconds before it become a projectile for the cats to chase down, it does redirect the steam away from cabinets and your face.Great idea but seems to be missing something. We have the large Ninja and that may be the problem, but I am not sure. Fits the valve to a tee. There is even a notch that matches the valve, but it just will not stay in place while redirecting the stream blow off.Cool looks and the idea is great, but failed in thei case. Would love to know if it was not meant for the 8 quart machine.

Works with Instant Pot Ultra 3 Qt
I bought this hoping it might work with my Instant Pot Ultra 3 Qt steam release valve. It does! While not *super* tight, it's tight enough to not pop off when you release the steam. And the back "tail" does not get in the way of the silver float value either. Bottom line, it fits! It also works with the overall decor of the Instant Pot lid, as well, in case you don't want something that looks comical like a red dragon or cartoon character sitting on top of your kitchen appliance. Fades into the background nicely, almost like it was included with the product. Works!

Great idea, but...
I didn't like how the steam from the Instant Pot would shoot up into my kitchen cabinets, so when I saw this, I couldn't wait to try it. It's a great idea, but the steam shoots towards the back wall. So now what I do when I'm ready to release the steam is, I reposition my Instant Pot, direct it towards the kitchen fan, turn the fan on & release the steam. This works well. Because of it being a good idea & the steam no longer shoots up into my kitchen cabinets, I'm still giving it 4 stars. If I had a bigger kitchen with an island, I can imagine this Steam Diverter would be much nicer than using it in a small kitchen.

Is not right for the Ninja Foodi
My rating for this steam diverter is based on the fact that I purchased it for use on a Ninja Foodi. The diverter fit fine and works great. However, it can only be installed in ONE orientation. This means on the Foodi, the steam release is directly toward the back of your countertop and under your upper cabinets it you are tucked in under these as you would be for a standard kitchen cabinet. Of course, this is completely contrary to the purpose of diverting all your hot, sticky steam from your pressure cooker. If your pressure cooker allows this diverter to point into the room, it's a five star product.

Fun adder.
Works well, the kids think it's fun watching the canon shoot. It keeps the steam off my cabinets.

Well-considered design for specific purpose.
Some of my friends found this thing stupid, but they don't understand at all. This is a well-considered design for specific purpose. I have a small kitchen, and the only place I can fit the instant pot is at a corner under a wooden wall cabinet. This is a huge problem because when the steam goes up, it hits the cabinet. Not only the wood get dampened, the water drips back down on the pot itself. It was very annoying, the counter top was very narrow and I can't just pull the pot further out, nor I have a better place for the pot. When I saw this, I knew right away I had to get this! And I am very happy I did. Now the steam is blowing out instead of going up to the cabinet! The only downside of this is the price seems a bit high, but I think it's well worth it compare to damaging the wall cabinet in a long run.

Save your cupboards. Way less risk of burning yourself.
I was at my friends house and I noticed that he had one of these steam diverter's on his instapot and I inquired about it. After getting burned by opening the steam vent, he decided to look into a solution to the steam venting. The slow cooking and pressure cooking actually ruined one of his cupboards due to the steam venting directly upwards into the laminated cabinets. So after seeing that, I decided to look into this myself as I use my pressure cooker at least once a week to make work lunches for myself and my wife. I've had the same issue with the steam venting directly up to my laminated cupboards, as it causes the glue to lose it's hold and peel. Also if it's MDF the wood will swell and that's not fixable. To solve the problem of ruining my cupboard I moved it to the island countertop, but I still hate trying to open it to vent it as it spits out some steam/extremely hot water at a fast rate and that can easily burn you. I've been using a cloth to put over it to try to mitigate that but it's not a great solution. There's still some luck involved with not getting the heat on your hands. For what this costs, this is such an easy, cheap and simple solution. This should be built-in to the instapot. The steam and venting is the most dangerous part, and with this diverter you know EXACTLY where the steam and heat is going to go. You can plan for the steam and droplets. The only downside to this is that the steam condensation will collect and drip down. Just place a cloth down to collect the moisture and you're good to go. This is such a common sense item that anyone who owns an instapot needs to have one.

Product description is misleading (?)
From the description I assumed it swiveled 360. It seems to be a very well made product and I am sure it works for many but it is of no use to me as it does not swivel 360. I do not want to have to spin my IP around so that the steam doesn't blow into my wood wall (log house). I had to return it.

Not what I expected
While the product does divert steam, it has been designed backwards. When you turn it to vent, it vents backwards to your cupboard and I wanted a product that vents forward, away from my cupboard. It is a bit safer, for sure, but it's tinier in person than it appears in photos. For the money, I'd recommend just holding your release vent with tongs and directing it away from your cupboards (that's what I was doing before I purchased this). It's also a bit of sticky silicone so the lint from my dishtowel was coming off on it so best to let it air dry. (I do steam clean my silicone products in my IP with 1/2 cup of water and 1/2 cup of vinegar for 10 mins, so this piece will fit in with the others I'm cleaning).

Good option for diverting steam
Purchased this to divert steam from under the counter. Works well, cleans perfectly i. The dishwasher, plus the cannon design is adorable. My only criticism is that it fits "backwards" on the release valve. Most steam diverters direct the released steam to the front of the Instant Pot; the way this one fits over the valve it will only divert to the back. If you have the pot on the counter you have to turn it sideways to keep the steam from under your cupboards. A design oversight.
