Love this kit, makes sourdough baking easy and fun. It has everything you could want as a beginner and more. The AI app is a game changer and helps me learn more than I ever could on my own. My only complaint is the elastic band that goes around the glass starter container to help you remember when you last fed your starter stretched after less than three weeks of use and no longer stays up on the jar. I suspect it’s because it got wet, but I’ve only had it for three weeks, I wouldn’t expect it to deteriorate that fast.

This was a gift for a friend who is baking her own bread. Everything they would need was included in this package. It was a perfect option.

If you want authentic sourdough, this starter is going to help you. You have to buy the ingredients but this starter kit has everything to help you make tasty sourdough. It seemed complicated at first but as it went on, it was a lot easier then I thought. The size was the bread was big, for one person all this bread would take me like a week to finish. Absolutely love it.

For the most part the items included in the kit are useful and will help in sourdough baking. But a couple are useless, cheap, and I'm not sure why they were included. The tool for cutting slashes into the finished dough before baking was dull, too small, and worthless. The banneton has a crack along the cane second from the top. But overall, the items will be useful. The dough mixer (I think it's called a Dutch whisk) is a game changer. So much better than a regular spatula or whisk. Overall, I'm satisfied with what I kept but I think there are better kits out there.
