Awesome for the price
The 2 complaints about these bits are in error. These are inexpensive bits for drilling wood. One complaint was the the writer could not "tap a nail". Come on buy a cobalt bit with appropriate tip. Another complained these did not clear chips well; buy auger bits that cost more per bit than this whole set.Today i installed a railing system for a loft. I used these bits to drill holes in 4x4 mahogany and 4x4 pine. i installed #14 x 3" and #9 x 3.5" screws.FLAWLESS!!I did drill an inch and back the bit out to clean it, repeat. The bits were flexible which was good but did not break and were still in good shape after 25 holes from each of 2 bits

Work very well right off the back
I used the auger bit from my handyman to drill holes through the side face of a 2"x 4". It was a fight. Not sure if it's the drill's problem or the auger bit's problem. I had to lean all my weight on it to make it work. I used this one today with a Skil 7amp drill. It was like drilling through butter. Good value compared without those from the big box stores or even harbor freight.

Can't beat the price... & they are surprisingly good quality...
I finally wore out/dulled the two bits I was using re-building my Dock/Pier, but for ~$15 they work surprisingly well & I was very pleased... If you have a Big Project where these will get a lot of use/abuse buy 2 sets... Still cheaper than 1-2 bits at BigBox/HD-L's...

Great bits
I only used the 14mm bit to drill into telephone poles about 7-9 inches long with a cordless Ryobi and they worked great. They did start to struggle near the 6in deep mark but I attribute that to the lack of power in the drill and the density of the telephone pole wood. They seem solid and appear to make nice cuts/shavings in the wood when drilling.I would buy these again if needed.

Not too bad for the money, but brittle
The one I needed the most, to clear 3/8" bolts, broke in two on me. I had to finish the hole(s) using a 100+ year old Russell-Jennings bit and (a considerably newer) brace. I might have put a little side tension on it, but if so, it was minimal. Did get a couple of dozen holes to that point, so for the dollars, maybe I really shouldn't complain. Another "I guess they just don't make them like they used to."

Great for the money
Very good for the money. So far I have only used the 14mm bit to drill 5x 9" deep holes through pressure treated wood. Very sharp, drills a clean hole, self-drives like it should. No appreciable wear (not that there should be). Just take it easy and these should give good service for years. I would have liked a 13mm bit for my particular application though.

Super sharp and excellent quality
Wow, these are some super sharp well made drill bits. I haven't owned a drill bit that made drilling through wood so effortless. For the price you would pay for one medium sharp extra long drill bit at your local hardware store, you get a variety of super sharp bits. Having worked in a variety of the home building trades and a furniture builder, I would highly recommend these drill bits.

Scary packaging but OK quality.
These are not "high dollar" bits but seem to work fine for my general wire running purposes. Would by again.
