This exceptional book provides practical, simple guidance to English language learners - even on sensitive topics like describing people's appearances (Unit 37) and relationships (Unit 39). Students do not want to make mistakes in describing appearances or relationships, yet few books provide such clear guidance at this vocabulary level. The emphasis on North American English is also appreciated.Like the other Cambridge books in this outstanding "Vocabulary in use" series, this self-study book includes the answers in the back. While many English teachers believe this inclusion makes the book unsuitable for classroom use, I would argue that providing readers with the answer keys adds value to students, tutors, and teachers. I strongly recommend that English teachers keep a copy in their bookcase.

It's a challenging book for the serious advanced speaker. I'm tutoring an 8th grade immigrant who has studied English in his home country since kindergarten and I'm using this book because it's challenging enough for him, yet very clear and manageable. Even he likes it. I'm glad the answers are in it just so I can make sure I'm correct! I have all levels of "Vocabulary in Use" and I'm very happy with the lay out and the exercises.

It was the book that I was looking for a long time. It has all the explanations of English language, it usage, examples, and the most important-the answer key. It is a wonderful book, one of the best for English language learners. Thanks a lot for selling it.
