Worked well for many years, then... Sticky handles!
Worked well for many years, then... the rubber handles started going all sticky on us.We always left it in its case in a cool, dry place. It never got super dirty or had things spill on it.No one likes to use it anymore, as the handles feel gross, but I'll still use it from time to time and then go wash my hands...

Piece of Junk
I don't bother to review items generally but this was an exceptionally bad piece of junk that I wish I had saved the box so I could have returned (which I also don't usually bother about). I love my lever pull corkscrew and thought this product would live up to that level of quality. I couldn't ever get any suction no matter how hard I tried and just tossed it in the garbage and chalked it up to the lesson of not tossing the box until you have tested the product.

In a hare's breath
Metrokane Rabbit Lever Vacuum Pump works with the majority of wine bottles. The trick is to force it tightly down to the top of the wine bottle and hold it down while pumping back and forth very slowly until you feel the vacuum take effect.

Did not seal.
I could never get a good seal. Did not create vacuum, did not preserve wine. I would not recommend this product.

Doesn't work worth a flip
To get it to work you need to hold it just right, and then the only way you can tell if you have done it right is to let the pressure off. So all in all it's pretty useless.

stylish
Nice product that functions well. I have come across one or two bottles that did not fit the vacuums valves correctly but this was only two out of the nearly 50 bottles so far.

It Works
Bottom line, it works. And because ideally you need 10+ pumps for it to suck out all the air, it is far easier to use than single, all in one hand pumps.
