Amazing coffee at home, fully customisable
I am extremely happy with this coffee machine. Itโs very easy to use and I absolutely love how customizable it is โ you can set the temperature, coffee volume, and strength exactly how you like it. The coffee quality is consistently great and tastes just like cafรฉ-style coffee at home. The milk foam is perfect: creamy, smooth, and ideal for lattes or cappuccinos. Iโve also added a short video so people can hear the noise level during operation; for a fully automatic machine, itโs absolutely reasonable. Overall, this is a fantastic investment for any coffee lover who wants full control over their drink. Highly recommended โ๏ธ

So far, Magnifica is magnificent.
I've had this for roughly a few weeks now, the coffee is simply sensational. Medium or dark roast beans, either way produces fantastic results. I am typically a black coffee drinker so I didn't need any milk compartments etc, and I thought surely this would just mean more to clean anyway - the steam spout is there if and when I need it, however I haven't tested this yet. This is my first bean to cup coffee machine and I am blown away by how super convenient it is. The cleaning when you turn the machine ON and OFF is great. You might be filling the water tank up every couple of days, but so what? It's incredibly easy to do. The downside is that the manuals were awful to use - most of them were not in English so, as I had seen by other reviews, I referred to YouTube to watch some videos on how to first setup the unit, how to adjust temperature and coffee volume, and ever since I've had the best coffees I've ever tasted at home. The compartments are a breeze to remove and clean. I haven't yet done a 'deep' clean but if it isn't straight forward enough to do, I'll update this review to say how I got on. Other reviews here have said about what to look out for, or how to do it best, so I will follow that. An absolutely incredibly unit that, for the price, creates sensational coffee with the touch of a few buttons. Brilliant. Just make sure that you are using quality beans - treat yourself!

great first experience
As someone completely new to coffee machines, the De'Longhi Magnifica was a great first experience. I was a bit nervous at first, but it turned out to be much easier than I expected. The soft-touch control panel is very intuitive โ everything is clearly labeled and simple to use, even for a beginner. It offers four one-touch recipes, and so far Iโve tried the espresso and cappuccino โ both came out delicious. The milk frothing nozzle is manual but easy to control, and it creates a smooth, creamy foam that really upgrades the drink. The size of the machine is just right โ not too bulky, and it fits nicely on the kitchen counter. You can adjust the cup size and coffee strength easily, and the coffee bean and water capacity is more than enough for several cups before needing a refill. In terms of cleaning, it's surprisingly low maintenance. The trays and tanks are easy to remove and rinse, and it even gives alerts when it needs cleaning or descaling. As for coffee quality โ itโs excellent. The machine grinds the beans fresh for every cup, and you can really taste the difference in richness and aroma compared to instant or pre-ground coffee. Overall: If you're new to coffee machines and want something straightforward, reliable, and capable of making great coffee, this machine is a solid choice.

Great coffee, shady consumables tactic.
The Good: To say coffee is perfect, is an understatement. Since this is my first bean-to-cup machine, I cannot say if it is thanks to this particular machine unfortunately. Nevertheless, instant and pre-ground just do not do it for me anymore. I like my coffee black, and its like discovering coffee taste all over again. I do not drink white coffee, but my mom who always drank instant, has been converted in just one day. I can also say that, as long as I am concerned, it is as easy to use as it could be. Do not expect miracles, you have to empty drip tray, grounds container, refill water rather often, and clean milk froth each use. On top of that, you need to descale your machine from time to time. All of that is to be expected in any maker like this. So its not really easy like pouring some hot water over instant granules, but not rocket science neither. Removing and cleaning diffuser is also easy. Consider to do some tinkering. I changed water temperature to maximum (Its not boiling hot, but enough for me) and ground setting to 3.5. Your experience may vary, but this is what I find most satisfactory. The Bad: Removing water tank, without removing the drip tray causes scratches on the metal plate. I think that is a design flaw. You could in theory keep removing drip tray every time you refill water, but water tends to run out more often that the drip tray needs to be emptied. Also it appears that machine has no sensor in the grounds container, and it just keeps count of how many times grounds have been disposed. So if you do not empty container every time you remove the tray, you risk overfilling. The Ugly: Now the real problem. Machine has a descale light, that comes up every time it needs to be descaled. It asked to be descaled twice already, even though I had it for three weeks only. I am in the middle of my second 1kg coffee bag, and while I had not used De'longhi softener, I always poured Brita filtered water in the machine. I contacted the help line and it appears that machine has a water hardness setting, factory set to default level 4 (hardest). Again, the maker has no sensor, and it just keeps track of how many litres of water has been used. That is not necessarily a bad thing, sensors tend to malfunction after some time. Keep in mind, that you need to use expensive De'Longhi Eco-Decalk, or you may lose warranty. Crazy thing is that water hardness setting can be changed, but the manual will not tell you that. Even the nice lady I spoke with has been surprised that my manual does not mention it. She sent me another revision of the manual and voila, machine used to come with water hardness test and instructions how to change the setting. I changed the setting and the warning light (descale) is gone for now. Now I know how important it is to keep limescale off the equipment, but I refuse to spend ยฃ15 a month for descalers. Also it seems that the instructions to change water hardness setting has been removed on purpose to generate more income from after sales. I do not like to be tricked like that. Verdict: De'Longhi - you make the best home coffee makers, do not tarnish your brand with shady tactics.

Great machine - good coffee !
Had this for a while now and it's been brilliant. Grinds fresh beans every time and makes a really decent espresso. Takes a bit of getting used to with the milk frothing but once you've done it a few times it's easy enough. You can take the plastic bit off the steam wand and make proper microfoam if you fancy trying latte art. The machine's quite compact too, doesn't take up half the worktop. Cleaning's straightforward - most bits come out and go in the dishwasher. The waste container holds about 14 used pucks so you're not emptying it every five minutes. Only thing is you need to let it run a few shots when you first get it while it works itself out, but after that it's solid. Makes two cups at once if you want. Well worth the money if you're sick of instant or paying a fortune at coffee shops.

Really nice coffee but completely meaningless instructions.
I don't normally write reviews but I really advise you to read this one, or waste six hours of your life trying to set the machine up, as we did. We got it working, eventually, but the control panel on this monster is a cacophony of chaotic irrationality and implausible illogicality, designed by an infant, or something, which makes a kind of sense once you work your way backwards from the end result, a cup of coffee, no less, but you have to get there first. Until then there's no need to waste time with the instructions. You'll have more luck blindfolded. Indeed don't expect the instructions to be any help at all. In fact they will send you up numerous blind alleyways. But beyond all that there was another issue which we stumbled upon by pure chance and if we hadn't we would have sent it back. Briefly we found something resembling a red plastic three pin UK type electrical plug set between the removable tray at the base and the body of the machine, a plug which you won't find unless you remove the tray, and which you won't find mentioned in the instructions either. The plug is clearly supposed to be there, but why? Up until that moment there was a red flashing warning light - we presumed - which we could not get to switch off. It kind of resembled an extra wide letter U filled with small dots in two horizontal rows. What could it mean? Out of beans? Out of water? Empty coffee grounds? Wrong voltage? Water pressure too high/low? Water still heating? Add limescale remover? Walk the dog? Answer the phone? Sending out a machine of this complexity with completely incompetent and misleading instructions for use shouldn't be allowed, and is something you don't expect of an established company in any field, or of Amazon. Only when we withdrew the tray did we find this bright red plug, for want of a better word, lurking in the bottom left corner, as per the photos. We didn't know what it was, but wondered why it was red. We pushed it, pulled it, and suddenly it came away. Was it supposed to or had we broken the machine? We set it to one side, replaced the tray, and wondered, if it was supposed to be removable, what would happen if we replaced the tray and... Hallelujah! The red warning (?) light went out, after six hours between two people, trying to get the thing to work. So be warned, flashing red light means remove red plastic plug. Why? Absolutely no idea, unless you want to disable the machine without telling anyone, for example if someone breaks in while you're at a wedding, or on holiday. Perhaps someone knows at Amazon, or deLonghi. The really appalling thing is that various lights flash, or give a semblance of life within the machine, even though it's never going to work, until you remove this plug. We rang Customer Experience. Completely useless. They said to send it back to Amazon. How many people have sent this machine back because of this red plug? Is it meant to be there? Is it supposed to be removed at the factory before dispatch? Buy this machine at your peril! Now we have a new problem, which is why whole beans are mixed up with the coffee grounds in the removable tray, and how to prevent it. We're still working on that but rather than send it back just yet, we're going to persevere. We've still got 28 days. We're going to need them,. Having said all that it makes really nice coffee, but you're going to need it, so be warned....

Surprisingly Good Results โ Even With Cheap Beans!
My brother bought the DeโLonghi Eletta, and after trying his machine, I couldnโt resist the Black Friday deals and ended up getting the DeโLonghi Magnifica S. I chose this model because I prefer frothing milk manually instead of using an automatic milk frother. The steam wand on the Magnifica S is more powerful than I expected. Itโs not quite at cafรฉ level, of course, but itโs definitely good enough for me. Iโm currently using Tescoโs cheapest coffee beans, and despite that, the results are surprisingly impressive. As long as you set the grind a bit finer (around level 2), make the water slightly hotter (yes, this machine allows you to adjust the water temperature), and increase the dose a little, the coffee that comes out is absolutely respectable. The rich crema alone makes my whole morning. To me, thereโs not much difference between this and my brotherโs Eletta. The only noticeable difference is the noise. The Eletta is genuinely quiet โ even the grinding sound isnโt sharp โ whereas the Magnifica S is definitely loud. But honestly, since it only makes noise once or twice a day, it doesnโt really bother me.

Wake up with Barista Style Coffee at home.
I bought the De'Longhi Magnifica Evo Bean to Cup Coffee and Cappuccino Maker (ECAM292.33.SB) a few months ago, and itโs been an absolute game-changer! It delivers barista-style coffee in the comfort of my own home โ rich espresso, creamy cappuccinos, and smooth lattes at the touch of a button. The machine is sleek, easy to use, and brings that authentic cafรฉ taste without the coffee shop queues. Really quick to set up and and get going, takes both Bean and also Ground Coffee, Must admit having a Espresso in the morning certaintly helps waken the senses with and is a really quick way of setting you up for the day, Cleaning the machine is extremley easy, provides you with a warning that it is time to clear. If your looking for a Bean to Cup machine, must admit for the price this is immense.

Great for morning Coffees at Home!
The machine lived up to my expectations . A month of use now and I am quite satisfied . Cleaning is easy and much faster with this wand style milk steamer as opposed to the Carafe models A tip to reduce maintenance - keep a spare mug under the spouts while starting up and also while shutting down. This will collect the water used by the machine used for heating up and cleaning after you are done, instead of collecting in the drip tray below, significantly reducing the number of times you need to empty the drip tray.

Great product and not common in Canada
Great product and not common in Canada. Fill it with water and beans, press the button and it makes you a fresh cup that tastes way better than any drip machine. Maintenance and operation is very easy. Instructions are helpful. Make sure vendor sells you a machine that can handle Canadian/USA 120 W vs Europe's 220W. Just because you buy it on Amazon.ca doesn't mean that this is the case. Check with vendor. I use this for an office with 15 employees and it works great. Grinder can be pulled out and replaced!
