Has anyone had this problem?** A: The rice paper should never melt onto the cake, the proper way to place rice paper images on a cake is using a thin layer of fondant under the paper. Brush some water on the fondant (all over) and then place the paper on top of the fondant . Start with the center then work your way out . . Then you place on the cake .
