Q: will they fit any headboard

I would suggest that they will fit majority of headboards. Only concern may be if there are pre drilled holes in headboard to to fit struts. If any problems , suggest you could attach with gorilla glue , or another strong adhesive. Hope this is of some use.

Q: can you please tell me the distance between the holes. Have bought others but holes too far apart, so need exact measurement.

6 + 1/4 inches apart. Lots of room left if you need to make extra if needed. Hope this helps.
