good if you need protection against power outages for a short period of time
i built a PC and i work from home, staying connected to the internet at all times is very important fore me. more importantly is making sure that my PC stays on and does not randomly shut off at any moment, causing me to lose all unsaved workthis product helps protect against that from happeningunlike a laptop that has a built in battery, a PC does not, so if your home power goes out, that's it. it's game over. your entire PC shuts down with your power, no running off battery, no nothinghowever, if you plug your PC into this product, then if your power goes out, you're pretty much safe. at least for 5-10 minutesjust today i was working and then randomly the electricity went out in my apartment. all my appliances shut off around me. this doesn't happen often, maybe like once a year. when this did happen, my computer was still running and i was still connected to the internet. everything was shutting off around me, yet i was still able to continue working on my PC as if nothing was happeninga couple of minutes go by, and the electricity turns back on. i didn't even notice it was gone because i was so focused on worknot only does this keep my PC powered on during outages, my internet stays on too. i didn't lose internet at all, everything was continuing to run smoothlyas i've mentioned before though, this power only lasts about 5-10 minutes if you've got a PC plugged in. the PC draws quite a bit of power, so this back up battery can't last much long. but the point of me using this in the first place is so that if power gets interrupted, i have a back up that can bridge the gap. the outages i get last only a couple of minutes. i just need protection during that random abrupt hit, i don't need protection for hoursthis product has served me well

It really works...
I bought this for our router and mesh network router in our bedroom. Due to other items in our room like our coffee pot and window AC running at the same time, we can end up tripping the breaker. This causes everything else in the house to loose connection such as our cameras, doorbell cams, fire sticks and even our roombas. So it can be disruptive for awhile waiting for everything to sync back up.Yesterday it tripped and I did not have to worry about it. It instantly kicked in and didn't miss a beat. It was only on a few minutes, but it did the job. I don't know how long it would last if the power did go out but it is nice to know that I will still have internet access for my laptop in a power outage.I did buy a second one for my sons computer. If the power blips or we have even a brown out, his computer goes down where he is unable to turn it back on for a day or so, even with a good surge protector. With this, he should either not even notice the shortage or in case of a total blackout, have enough time to turn it off properly. We shall see when the next outage happens.

Solid Little UPS – Keeps My NAS Running Without a Problem
I’ve been using this Amazon Basics UPS for about a year now and it’s been great. I haven’t tested the full run time, but for the quick power outages we get at the house (usually 10–15 minutes), it’s held up without any issues. My Synology NAS stays up and running the whole time. It’s compact, doesn’t take up a lot of space, and does exactly what I bought it for. I don’t have it overloaded — just the NAS and some networking gear plugged in — and it handles everything without a hitch. You definitely get what you pay for. It’s not a huge backup system, but for keeping key gear online during short outages, it works perfectly. No complaints.

Amazon PowerMaster software did not work properly- Used CyberPower software- Works perfectly
This unit is used for wifi power and voip phone power during a power outage.Charged it up and tested it. It worked fine. The Amazon PowerMaster software had issues so I quite trying to use it and saw another review that mentioned CyberPower. Yep, that brand's units look like mine and the little manual looks the same.I downloaded the Cyberpower software and was able to monitor my unit and do a self test. All is well!
