Not great. It brings together characters from multiple stories in the Grimm's Fairy Tale universe. As I have only read the base story, not the side ones, I should have found it confusing. But I didn't. It was just a mish-mash of people that didn't seem to stand out. I did enjoy the villain as he actually seemed to be able to live up his pompous bragging. But to be honest, I doubt I'll buy the second volume unless I find it for a very good price.

This is a great graphic novel. Great art work good epic story. It incorporates many of the heavy hitters from the Grimm universe. I really enjoyed it they give enough of the back stories that even someone not familier with the characters will enjoy it. I am definitely going to collect the rest of the series. The only complaint I have is this is not the cover of the book I got, though the picture of Van Helsing is in the cover gallery so that is not a big problem. Once again great comic.The story a powerful creature called the Being has opened the portal to the Shadowfall. This was a prision the Greek "Gods" used to imprision their prisioner. In the 1800 a group of Hunters fought an epic battle to stop the vampires and warewolves. Ending with them all traped in the Sahdowfall. To releace the monsters he also releaces the hunters. However we do not know what he real purpose is. Can the group of hunters stop the Being that even the "Gods" fear?

Totally recommend to anyone who loves there graphic novels. Full up with excellent art graphic pictures and a very goodstory. So if you love your graphic novels then I recommend you buy this one.
