BlackRapid 35 Shot Camera Strap (Black)

Fantastic product. I have both the cross and the cross shot.

The method of sending back the product is so complicated.

Listing says: "Strap length with pad: 35" (89cm)" That's the length if you cut it. But it's a loop!If you hang it on a hook, it's 17". If I hang it around my neck (where it's not supposed to be), it's 9" down from the front of my neck. Dunno what this was designed for, but it's not at all like my others in length. Nicely made otherwise, but why?EDIT/UPDATE: Okay, for a smaller, compact style camera, this strap lets the camera ride at about elbow height, under your arm. The aggressive rubber pad/grip at your shoulder really prevents it from slipping off (like a "normal" strap does), so for a non-DSLR body (like even a medium-sized camera with a retractable zoom), this is pretty nice. The strap stays where you put it, the camera slips up the loop to your eye, nice! Camera remains protected under your arm/elbow, and it's easy to keep it from swinging around, bashing into things.Sorta secret-agentish, I think a jacket over this would work too. Might be great for street photographers.So, for the right application, this is a pretty good strap - but that 35-inch description is unnecessarily confusing.

I needed a strap for my newly purchased used, second camera body, a Nikon D750, to go along with my existing go to camera, a Nikon D810. And, I hate conventional, around the neck camera straps. They're painful and clumsy. Also, I didn't want to spend much on a new strap, given how much the BlackRapid (BR) sling straps cost. It is, after all, for a spare, second body. And, the price was right for this BR Shot strap. I was concerned about the fact that it's not adjustable in any way, but again, it will likely spend a lot of time in the camera bag, anyway. So, I took the leap and purchased it.It's perfect. I'm only 5'-3" tall, but the length is perfect. Like advertised, it really doesn't slip off my shoulder, although I still try to hook it onto a collar, or something, just to be safe. If I'm using it in conjunction with my existing BR sling, carrying two bodies at a time, I use a velcro strap to connect the two together, and voila!! It's a perfect two-camera system. And, a whole lot cheaper. And, I couldn't be happier. My setup now consists of having a Kirk 1" clamp attached to my BR sling strap, so I can take the D810 on and off the strap quickly and easily, when necessary. I find that I won't need to spend the extra money on this new 2nd-body, D750 strap, so I'll use the screw connector to it. Again, a perfect combo for my needs. And, typical of BlackRapid products, this is a well made, durable piece of camera equipment.
