Very impressive
I bought this will the knowledge that it would be a very limited use tool. After trying it I have used it more than I ever thought I would. The best thing is the small size and the ability to get in very tight areas. Yes, it will.bog down if you try to cut too aggressively, Take your time it will be your best friend. I recently cut some flanges off a display sign and was able to cut it off right at the base with no additional grinding. As much as I love my Makita cordless grinder, there is no way it would have gotten in such a tight area without additional grinding. I also love the ability to reverse the direction to control which way the sparks fly and get them away from your face. Buy a bigger amp.battery ( I'm using a 6 amp) and its an awesome tool

Rugged, versatile powerful one-handed cutoff tool
Milwaukee has introduced a lot of new additions to their M12 series of cordless tools and this Fuel 3" cutoff tool is perhaps the most versatile tool in the whole M12 lineup. I use it in situations where I don't have a vise on hand to hold the material I am cutting. This tool is designed to be used with one hand and has great ergonomic over molding to increase grip on the tool as well as increase comfort while using it. It features a battery life light, a multi position shield and a forward/reverse switch. I use it to cut sheet metal and threaded rod but it will cut many different materials with ease. To make versatility of cutting easier, Milwaukee includes 3 different cutting disks, each for different applications. Milwaukee also includes a depth guide/dust extraction shield that allows you to set a certain cut depth as well as attach a shop vac hose to, which is a great accessory for this tool. this tool has helped me out in many situations and I find myself reaching for thus tool more often than my angle grinder. Well worth the investment.

Handy
Nice little tool that will cut through thinner metal. It may take a bit, but it gets the job done. Crafty and useful, but runs batteries down quickly.
