Candy is fresh with a use by date of March 25, 2025. I would have liked to had a box with a much more extended use by date but this is what you get when you order online. These candy bars are fresh for now and that is what is important. They were very well packed for shipping and arrived perfect.

I love these things, but every single candybar is broken. And that really sucks.

As fresh as buying candy bars at the local store, but cost less than half.Bar weighs, 1.9 ounce, or 53.8 grams.250 calories per bar.Arrived in box with thick, insulating liner and cold-pack still chilly. No melting.Butterfinger bars are wrapped securely in plastic/foil, making them water resistant (but the chocolate will not resist heat, of course). Should be water-tight if sloshing around in cooler. Will not float.Good, satisfying candy bar for hiking, bug-out bag, snack for winter or early spring activities.If civilization collapses, their plastic/foil packaging will keep them fresh for a long time if stored someplace cool -- basement, cave, buried, sunk underwater, etc. Good trading item. When the Lights Go Out, people will soon be craving chocolate, and trade useful items for these chocolate/peanut butter bars.

Arrived on time and trust me they went above and beyond in packaging to prevent melting ! We were so impressed with the care in shipping and packaging that we will continue to gladly place our future orders for these bars ! So fresh and delicious , these are my and my husbands favorite candy bar ! Will be a repeat customer!

Full disclosure - Butterfinger has been my favorite candy bar for over 60 years. This order arrived in excellent condition - fresh, no breakage.There is one danger here though. If you buy the occasional candy bar at the grocery store or an event you're attending, you only eat one that day. If you have a box of them in the room next to your office . . . well . . . the box might not last 36 days - or even 24.Let the eater beware.Don't buy a case of these too often or . . .Update Nov 2017Bought another box. Arrived quickly, very little breakage - no more than buying from a store. Fresh and yummy.Update Feb 2018Yeah I bought another box. Hard to resist. Again, came quickly in good condition. Highly recommended vendor.Update Oct 2020Well. I took MDB's advice (in the comment) and tried the "New Butterfinger" and he's right. The current version isn't as good. Much less peanut butter flavor and less chocolaty ( is that a word?). Sigh. Another proof that "New and Improved" actually means cost cutting supported by marketing (there's a fine line between marketing and fraud). I guess I'll have to check out Clark Bar and see if it's still as good as in the past.
