**Q: can this be used at the air tool**
A: It is used to regulate air for your tools. The sequence usually goes: 1) tank gauge, 2) tool regulator (this product!),  3) hose, 4) tool (like a nail gun or paint sprayer). In that sequence, this product adjusts the pressure for the tool

**Q: can the knob be removed to facilitate installation?**
A: Don’t think you can. I think I removed the gauge

**Q: does it fit hitachi?**
A: Yes it does

**Q: Does the adjustment knob have a lock so that the vibration of the compressor doesn’t change your desired pressure setting when it’s running?**
A: No, the adjustment knob does not have a positive lock on it.

it's a great replacement for my BelAire air compressor with no leaks. *>Keep in mind, it's designed to let air out by the knob when you're reducing the pressure or turning it to zero. mine came set to zero, so i turned it to max(full +) when installing it, so I got no leaks by the knob and got tank pressure with it set to full, I'd suggest to turn it to full when installing it. I think the knob should be large enough for the average person imho. I used tru blu thread sealant and let it cure with no leaks from my conections, or the regulator itself, but it does release air by the knob if I reduce the pressure or set it to 0 which is normal. it's a great value and replacement so far, but time will tell if it lasts.
