I have been very grateful I found this product. I have naturally medium brown hair with lots of grey that I have stopped coloring. I have a very abrupt transition point with the grow out that is all in the most noticeable areas at the hairline and around my face. This syle edit root touch up tool is helping me hide/blend that transition better until I fully grow out the hair dye. It is not cheap but it does work well. It is easy to apply precisely, there is a blending tool at the other end of the stick that also works well. It moves/rubs off less than the Madison reed powder. Warning about the color- the medium brown is a warm brown, so if you have ash medium brown you might prefer the dark brown color because it is a more neutral tone. you will probably have to bite the bullet and buy one of each to experiment.

This root cover touch up stick is one of the best products I have used to cover up my gray roots in between visits to my hair salon. I have tried various powders and sprays, which work to varying degrees, but either do not provide adequate coverage or are very messy. This touch up stick can be used on your part, hair line, or wherever you need coverage. A little bit goes a long way. I recommend touching up with a little color and then using the sponge on the end of the stick, or a disposable makeup sponge to spread the color over your gray area. It looks very natural and can extend your time between salon visits.

I've tried all types of cheap gray roots cover up, they always just made a mess of my face, my hair would look like I had "helmet head", or the kind with the mascara brushes would just leave clumps of color on my hair and my face. This is the first gray root cover up out of all of the ones I've tried that actually works, and it's easy to apply as well. I couldn't believe it. The price is obviously much higher, but when I think of all the money I've spent on products like these that don't work and I throw in the trash, it's worth every penny. I'll now have more time between going to the salon as well, which obviously saves a lot of money.

I am in my mid fifties and my hair is mostly gray. My hair turns orange when I try to color it myself so I go to the salon. I can now stretch the time between salon visits by 2-3 weeks. I use the Medium Brown color stick to touch up my gray stripe. I don't feel like it needs to change the color of all the hair, it puts just enough color on to take the shiny gray out making it blend in with the rest of my hair. The stick is easy to use and I have fewer salon trips, which saves me money!!! When my current stick runs out, I will definitely buy another one!

The medium brown is auburn. Adheres to (gray) hair well. On thinning, receding hairline it rubs off easily with touches.

Love it — saves me time and money! I’m very happy with this Root Touch-Up Stick! It works so well that I only need to see my hair lady once a month now instead of twice. It’s easy to use, blends perfectly, and really helps me stretch out the time between salon visits. I’m now ordering the lighter color since I’m getting highlights.
