Awesome Microscope to Spark Science Curiosity
We bought this microscope to encourage our kids’ curiosity about the world around them, and it’s been such a fun and educational experience! It comes with everything you need to get started, and the kids were immediately fascinated looking at slides of onion skin, leaves, and even their own hair. The binocular design makes it easier for younger kids to use than the traditional single eyepiece models. Once we helped them get the hang of focusing, they were off exploring all kinds of samples on their own. The image clarity is great for a beginner scope, and it feels like a big step up from toy microscopes. Definitely a win for inspiring little scientists in the house—and honestly, we’ve been enjoying it too! Great value for the price.

Better than expected!
while this is an “Off brand”,wait! Read this! Firstly, I am HUMAN, so you know I’m not some company stooge, or feeding your head full of bull either way. I used a microscope just like this one at Crafton Hills College, in Yucaipa, CA. I don’t know what I was expecting, but I was solidly impressed. Things I got in the box, sample slides, blank slides, various power eye pieces (4), a curious remote of some kind (more later), specimen bottles, a Pipette, two tools for moving specimens, phone clip, dissecting needles, droppers, a cell phone attachment, some funky ring cutter, and an AC POWER CORD! Yay! I don’t have to rely on batteries. Oh, o forgot to mention room a surgical quality scissors and a tweezers. I did buy a small biology “kit” for $20.00 for samples, Pipettes, other handy tools for specimen collection. **NOTE: I’m a rattle snake wrangler, I also study pit viper venom as human blood and venom samples interact before and after introducing antivenoms, as well as living blood cells in hyper/hypo/iso-tonic solutions, as well as insulin, glucose, and erythrocyte reactions, and the baseline idiopathic state of a control group collection of blood, which resultes from a cbc collection in a subject specific person and collection. I am not employed as such, but I do mess around with “basement science” and cells as well as diseased collections on a slide. I’m a hobbiest nerd. “Setting the stage”: there are two knobs on the left, watch the stage move as you turn the knob, this controls your left to right and up and down axis. Two LED lights (SO HANDY!) This microscope is EASY to set and USE, calm head, relax, and THINK! After a minute or two, it will all become much “clearer”. ;) Plug the power adaptor in! Turn the lights on! Look in it! Be prepared to be impressed. And all for just SLIGHTLY over a hundred bucks. Well dudes and dudettes, be prepared to actually own something that does what the box says it’s going to do, and the learning curve is SLIGHT. For the ones calling it negative names, are you sure we’re using the same scope? Maybe you’re an actual biologist using a scope on a lunar mission, in which case, I’m sure NASA only buys the very best. It’s a scope that you’ll have for years, take care of it, pack it away when not in use, this **IS A SCIENTIFIC INSTRUMENT** meant to observe cellular sized specimens, and photograph it! I think it will last for many years, if cared for properly. It’s metal, sturdy, tough enough to survive a football player, precise enough to totally geek out on. Do not forget to buy immersion oil, lens wipes, and slide cover glass. Don’t use immersion oil on slides over the x40 objective as it is harmful to the lense. Watch YouTube videos on HOW TO USE COMPOUND MICROSCOPE thoroughly, sensitive components on the instrument. (Lenses) Enjoy!

Children's microscope price for 78 yr old.
love the instructions, very comprehensive overview of microscope wherewithal, took me a sleepover figuring out the 2x lense engages with the 25x not on it own, top light doesn't reach the specimen so you need a duel gooseneck tiny spots aimed at top of specimen, may as well get lense cleaning tissues same time, the eye spread can be shy a bit for big head like mine, but the value/price still can do a good job, love the 2 way mechanical stage, you're gonna need that, it's very useful in that rather than jacking with specimen slides & slipcovers just snap a picture with your phone's included adapter, it's be well thought out--

Bad quality
I bought this product and was very satisfied at first with its magnification and solid construction. It also has a nice appearance. However, after using for two days, the light began flickering on and off, and now it only works intermittently. While viewing slides, the light often shuts off. In addition, the objective switch gets stuck when rotating between lenses. The viewing quality is also disappointing at 40X magnification, it’s difficult to properly focus, and the image remains blurry. When switching to different focus, the light didn’t went through

Low quality
Works good but does not focus very well, takes a long time to focus then loses focus quickly. Light is also not bright enough. Not worth it for this price.
